What does independence mean to older adults? ‘Most of us & not just women, spend our lives trying to make others happy. That in itself is a kind of bondage. How liberating it is to come out of that bondage’. As always good to talk to @Silvertalkies

It reminded us of activity clubs for older adults in India, run by @DF_BLR @silverinnings @nightingalesmed and even our own club. However, organised support from the state, as mentioned by the author, could take these initiatives to a much bigger level. What do you think?

@GabbbarSingh Yes, retirement is tough and what you’ve tweeted is absolutely true for many. Would also like to share another side. With the right group, engagement opps and interesting activities (just to name a few) we’ve seen a lot of retirees actually get busier as they grow older.
