@ProfMJCleveland Hi Margot. I appreciate your up to date info on various legal matters. However, sometimes, for non-lawyers, it isn’t clear what the info means. Could you explain the legal stuff like we’re in kindergarten? Thank you. 🙂

RT @TomiLahren: I know I see this differently than a lot of my conservative friends, but I didn’t like nor do I celebrate the booing of Tay…

No, Biden didn't add 80,000. That is what we're talking about. As the other person posted, there are about 14,000 "revenue agents" (the ones who do the audits). TOTAL. 80,000 were certainly not hired in the last 4 years. As to the total employees, that number includes lots of people who process returns and do many other administrative tasks that don't involve auditing. I'm not sure where the 80,000 "IRS agents" story came from, but it isn't true.

@Trumpmissouri @Tickopillejendy @Jim_Jordan Tamara, the only IRS employees who carry guns are called Special Agents and there are only about 2,500 of them. They deal with criminal tax cases, not audits.

There isn't any specific job called enforcement agent. But Revenue Agents are the ones who do the audits. They also have Tax Compliance Officers who handle smaller audits. There are a lot fewer of them. But my point is that the 80,000 new IRS agents storyline is not accurate. I don't know why Rep Jordan keeps repeating it. Also, it is a criminal offense for IRS employees to intentionally disclose someone's personal information. I'm sure that applies to DOGE too. I don't think we should be implying to the public that their personal information isn't safe.

@That4LeafClover @Jim_Jordan Well, there is actually no job position called "IRS Agent", but I think people mean the ones who do the audits. I think there are about 12,000 of those.

@dawnkencal @Bethenny This is the reason. It shouldn’t be made into something bigger. It was just about sports and eagles fans are serious!!

@JonathanTurley Isn’t this judge violating the separation of powers? Thus violating the constitution, which should be grounds for impeachment?

@ShawnRyan762 Since USAID stands for the United States Agency for International Development, I’m not buying that it feeds the poor.

@zachrowell95 @prayandfast2 Mary isn’t “worshipped”. She is honored and respected. And people think the pope is considered infallible in everything he says. That isn’t true. He is a flawed human like the rest of us.

@ProfMJCleveland People using SSNs for reasons other than filing tax returns could easily be using someone else’s number though.

@NathanOfNote @cc22report True. One difference with Angel though is that she seemed to encourage the hype. Paige and Juju are victims of the sports media’s relentness need to predict future performance. I’m surprised they haven’t picked out a high school player to hype as better than Caitlin Clark.
