As another year of my life passes by, I am reminded of all the wonderful people I've had the pleasure of working with. And I know for a fact that they have all enjoyed working with me too. Here's Amy Poehler and I just hanging out having a laugh.
Happy Leap Day, don’t forgot to watch the 30 Rock Leap Day episode, AKA one of the most wonderfully ridiculous episodes of television ever
Wear blue and yellow, eat rhubarb, and cry for Leap Day William!
We had some amazing hosts at
@nbcsnl
during my time. Here is
@Sethrogen
and I in my office. I had just pitched him the silliest idea for a skit! He loved it!
We did a show during the writers strike at the UCB Theatre and Michael Cera hosted it. Even though he wasn't in any of my skits that night, we did hang out back stage.
This is honestly one of the most fun sketches I helped write during my time at
@nbcsnl
The best part was sitting in
@OrvilleIV
‘s dressing room rehearsing this dance over and over.
When Paul Giamatti hosted, he loved all my skit ideas. Even though my "Baker who is allergic to bread-skit" got cut, you can tell he still loved working with me.
Just so everyone knows, it's not my birthday today. It's actually tomorrow, the 23rd. This just happens to be the last day of my 47th year on this planet. It is however my lovely wife's birthday!
@suedgalloway
I love her so much and I'm sure you can see why.
He wasn't Jack Ryan back when I hung out with
@johnkrasinski
at the
@nbcsnl
after parties! So many laughs. So much fun.
@suedgalloway
was also hanging out with us in this pic.
If there was one lady I made laugh more than anyone else at
@nbcsnl
, it was
@MayaRudolph
. I think I just made a killer pun right before this photo. Probably because The Killers were the musical guest that week. Ha!
If there was one person I could consistently crack up at
@nbcsnl
, it was Bill Hader. I would write skit after skit for him. And even though none of them ever got on the show, they still killed at the table read.
My dear friend Niki Lindgren passed away this week. She was a kind, brilliantly funny actress and artist. I will miss her smile and infectious laugh. I will miss drinking a fancy cocktail with her. But most of all I will miss her joy. I am so incredibly sad.
It really is amazing how many great friends I have made! I even went on vacations with some of them.
@RobRiggle
and I took a train ride up to
@Harvard
. The trip is kind of long, but we didn't even notice because of how much fun we were having.
I met
@MrHoratioSanz
at
@TheSecondCity
and man did we hit it off. I would sit in on some of his improvs and would always make him cry with laughter with my top notch object work.

I feel bad about the picture I tweeted of
@suedgalloway
looking goofy earlier in this thread, so here is a better picture that pretty much sums up our relationship.
I really lucked out with the cast my first couple of seasons at
@nbcsnl
I would hang out with Fred Armisen all the time. And no matter what he was doing, he'd drop everything when I came in the room.
Hey everybody! I hope you’re staying safe. My Audible Original, Escape From Virtual Island, is available today on
@audible_com
. My hope is that it will just make you laugh and brighten your day. Free with a 30-day trial.
#EscapeVirtualIsland
Besides all the famous acting friends I made, I also became close friends with a lot of the
@nbcsnl
writers. Here I am with
@perlapell
back in 2010. She has changed one bit since then.
But without a doubt, the one person in all my time at
@nbcsnl
or
@30Rock
or
@LateNightSeth
who really stands out as my closest friend is the man, the legend, Lorne Michaels. He once told me of all the people he's ever worked with, I made him laugh the most.
#Blessed
I also became friends with some of the guests we had on
@nbcsnl
Here I am with Dr. Zaius when I cast him in one of my silly skits. He crushed it, but I have to say it was hard to mess up with such amazing writing.
@MikeOBrienXOXO
Here's a little treat for anyone who saw my thread. This picture was real and was what inspired me to do this bit. It was taken at the
@nbcsnl
after party when he hosted. He was the first guest I ever asked to take a picture with and when I saw the result I laughed so hard.
When Paul Giamatti hosted, he loved all my skit ideas. Even though my "Baker who is allergic to bread-skit" got cut, you can tell he still loved working with me.
For those people giving me notes on my thread getting frustrated that I tweeted “Amy and I” rather than “Amy and me”, thank you so much. Me really appreciates it.
Today my good friend, Noah Gregoropoulos, passed away. He was an amazing improviser and teacher. He always pushed me to be a better performer. And most importantly, he loved to take my money at poker. I will miss drinking beers at the back of the bar with you sir.
For your consideration. Vote for
@perlapell
and
@ShutupLutz
for acting in a Short Form Comedy or Drama! We are darn tootin’ tired of sharing this giant Emmy, so we’d be pleased as pernch with two regular sized ones.
.
@MarkHamill
did monologues for Assscat
@ucbtny
in 2017. He took pictures with all of us nerds. Then after the show when most celebrities would try to sneak out the back he said, “I should go out and say hi to the audience.” He is a class act. One of the best days of my life.
Jesse Watters called
@MarkHamill
a B or C-list actor. Hamill created a role that is part of the most successful film franchise in history. I've included three examples that show how his fans feel about him - I am also a fan.❤️🌟📽️🎬
I want to thank him for be gracious enough to take that pic with me, but also I want to thank him for inspiring this wonderful bit. If not for him, I would have never had the guts to go up to Betty White and say, "Can I take a picture with you where you look like you hate me?"
Birmingham, Michigan:
Board of Education meeting on mask mandates.
This parents says, “If God wanted us to cover our mouth and nose — he would have made us that way.”
Don’t you dare accuse me of stress eating after spent an hour baking homemade chocolate chip cookies, putting a scoop of vanilla ice cream between two of them and then rolling the whole thing in mini-chocolate chips.
We usually go to Sue’s parents for Thanksgiving, but this year we are staying home. I decided to make everything her mom makes, so it can feel a little bi normal. I hope I did okay.
“John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch” is brilliant and one of kind. The song “Do Flowers Exist At Night?” is both beautiful and hilarious.
@mulaney
please let Marika Sawyer know how wonderful this show was.
Spending the weekend at Sue’s parents’ home for the first time in over a year. This painting is a new, fun addition that happens to be placed directly across from the bed.

It frustrates me so much that the same people who are “tired of this pandemic” are the same ones who do not want to wear masks, get vaccines or do anything to help stop it! I’m tired of it too!!!! Wear a mask and get vaccinated!
