A reminder to visitors from the HRM & bordering communities, the Wildlife Park is located in Colchester County, outside the restricted zones. We are asking residents from these areas to avoid non-essential travel and save your visit for another time. Take care and be kind!

It’s Nesting Season! Turtles are on the MOVE!
Over the weekend, two Snapping Turtles were digging nests and laying their eggs on the Wetland Trail! To respect their space, we closed down a section of the trail while they were working.

A storm on Groundhog Day...reminds me of 1976... And last year... Do groundhogs get deja vu or is that feeling just our normal feeling?

Let’s play hide-and-seek.
Do you see Shubenacadie Sam in this photo? Comment "got it" if you do, this is just for fun, no prizes, so don't spoil the fun and post the answer. Bonus point if you know which animal's enclosure this is.

Happy Thanksgiving! I’m grateful for all the support we got from our visitors this year. It was great seeing everyone. Caught this guy visiting the turkey’s food bowl 🦃🐿 I’m not sure he was an invited guest

I have a strong pre-storm feeling! Snow jitters? Excitement? I’m not sure what to call it. Following that crazy windy rain storm it’s been quite the week!

Thought I’d take a break from my lunch to say how wonderful it’s been seeing all the visitors back and the return of school field trips! I love listening to the excited chatter of people young and old!
