Assuredly. In 1972, people had very few subscriptions other than the newspaper and the phone. By the mid-1990s, we were paying for our TV. Now, literally everyone wants us to subscribe to something. We're paralyzed by choices.
Why do people who can more than afford it & enjoy the content of major newspapers not subscribe? Have friends who will say they can't read something because of a paywall and I know they can pay for a subscription. Is it the idea of signing up for another thing that stops people?
