Dead Exposure is cool but feels pretty unfamiliar to its Orlando origins. Large sets and some clever scare placement. The 2008 original is still one of the scariest houses I’ve ever done but I really enjoyed this one.

Few things to note about Scarecrow: The Reaping:
- It smells really bad.
- Bird poop lands on you
- it’s beautiful
- there’s one scene that’s absolutely horrifying if you can somehow have nobody in front of you.
- very minimal black walls
- has intense theming all over

Can’t wait to share more thoughts about The Last of Us. What a product of love. Hollywood did an amazing Silent Hill house based on Downpour (and sorta the movies) back in the day. Not surprised they handled this with care and respect. More Video Game houses please!!!

That’s gonna end my night for Halloween Horror Nights 2023. A very solid year that will only get better once the scareactors find their groove. While I don’t think this year reaches the highs of The Weeknd and Scarecrow last year, the entire lineup is very fun (1/2)

The Weeknd was a fun time. Not too scary but pretty. Incredible audio mixing and masks. Some things to note that I feel are important:
1. Most of the performers playing Abel are not wearing masks.
2. There’s little to no blackout segments.
