I think that's the secret of an onside kick: just try to cause chaos. Kick a missile directly into someone or just kick it into a bunch of bodies.

I was thinking this too but I think they are more worried about giving Mahomes more time to score than having time when they get it back.
Not sure why the Eagles didn't use a timeout after that Hollywood catch.
