After a year of talking on the phone and me helping you get through covid.. we finally got to meet in person today! Thank you so much Coach

What a blessing. Tonight I received my first D1 offer from
@marshallu
. A huge thank you to
@CoachTonyKemper
and his staff for such an amazing night. You all definitely made me feel special!

Thank you to
@Russellsports
and
@MandyLayne34
for my acknowledgement tonight for hitting 1000 points as a freshman. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to play varsity since my 7th grade year which helped make it possible for me to achieve this goal last season.
I decided to coach a Marv team this season and I’m so glad I did. These girls are so much fun! I love teaching the game that I love to our youth.

A huge THANK YOU to all coaches who voted for me for POY. We have so much talent in our region and I definitely feel honored.
I have had the opportunity to play against great talent all across the state.
I would love to represent Kentucky for your 2024 Miss Basketball!!💞
5-0 on the weekend. First tourney and first 🏆. Average margin of victory 30 points. 16 threes in one game. Consistent defensive intensity. Insanely unselfish kids who play the right way. Gonna be a great summer.
Be delicate with who you allow on your journey. Only let people in your corner that are just as hungry for your success as you are.

Russell Lady Devils win the EKC Tournament 65-49 against Rowan County. We were led by Shaelyn Steele who had 40 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Campbell Jachimczuk had 11 points. Quinn and Adkins also chipped in 6 a piece.
Please check out Shaelyn Steele’s, Class of 2024, Season Part II Highlights. She already has a Division I offer from Marshall and plays for West Virginia Thunder.
Shaelyn Steele in the first half: 8 points, 4 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 steals and an assist.
I stopped short of saying it earlier, but looking at that stat line makes me feel better about it: she reminds me of
@mykasa_baller23

happy birthday to my biggest supporter in everything! so thankful for you and everything you do for me. love you and all of our shopping trips, vacays, and night gym sessions (even if your rebounding needs some work) hope it’s the best😙❤️🔥
Shaelyn is the epitome of "whatever it takes to win" PG....if she needs to score she will get 30, if she needs to lock someone down then that's what she does. Most athletic kid on floor 99.9% of every game. Great teammate and special young lady. Most definitely

Really proud of our girls.

Session 2 went 5-0. Claimed
#1
seed in our pool & overall 2024
#1
seed with highest point differential in 2024 league. They work so hard defensively and do the little things that lead to wins. Gotta carry that into the finals!
Happy Birthday to my forever ice bath, tik tok, and napping partner! One of my favorite people to play with and the best pre game hype man‼️Love and miss you! Hope you have the best day ever❤️🔥😋🥳🥰
@BiggsAudrey
I want to thank all coaches, media, and former Miss Basketball ‘legends’ who took time to send in a nomination.
I appreciate all of the love and support that I have received throughout the state during my HS career.
It is an honor to be considered for such an award. 💙
Excited to say I have verbally committed to play at the University of Rio Grande to continue my athletic and academic career. Thank you to all my friends, family, coaches, and trainers that have pushed me get to where i am today. Excited to play at the next level.

I recognize the first 3 names in this write up
@BiggsAudrey
@hayden_lb
@ShaelynSteele
......as I read I kept thinking "tell me something I dont know"....love seeing each of you get well deserved recognition
Less than 12 hours until
@UANextGHoops
kicks off. The venue looks great, the competition will be intense and the coaches will be packed in. Win and advance. Can’t wait!!!
Big Time pick up for our 2024 class. Ella Sellars is a 5’9 guard from Ashland that does it all. She has the ability to rebound,shoot and attack the basket at a high level. We are excited to have her in the Thunder Family-great things are ahead for this kid!
After a great visit with Coach Malouf and
@JHallman24
I am extremely blessed to receive an offer from
@KUBearsWBB
!! Thank you both for having me on campus and taking time to come watch me play this week.

College coaches talk about Lack of shooters, about kids who can't pass in the post, about kids who are lost on D especially off the ball, about kids not playing the right way, kids doing too much etc
@MacieMallory
shoots the cover off it and does all the little things = WINNER
Russell’s trio of underclassman guards played pivotal roles in a breakout season that included Russell’s first win in the Sweet Sixteen since 1976 and extending their stretch of 20-win campaigns to six — longest in the 16th Region. Girls tab cover story:
Well deserved & huge congrats
@ShaelynSteele

You're a rare athlete, humble yet a killer at the same time. Looking forward to seeing you continue to grow and develop your game
I have been training on and off with Ger since 7th grade. He is GREAT at what he does. Thank you for the opportunity to be apart of your commercial.

If I had a vote for Mr. & Miss Kentucky basketball, it would be Travis Perry and Shaelyn Steele.
No explanation necessary for Perry as he is KY’s all-time leading scorer.
Steele has over 3,000 pts and 1,500 boards as a guard at Russell. She had the most “Power 5” offers out
College Coaches:
Do yourself a favor and watch this video.
This is my 3rd summer with Shaelyn and I've yet to see an opposing guard be more explosive and athletic at the same size.
Get on board now, the train is leaving the station and will be a runaway train after July
Now that
@ShaelynSteele
has been named Region 16 POY and OFFICIAL Miss Basketball candidate I’ll make the case why she IS Miss Basketball.There are a lot of deserving kids, but this one hits close to home for me. I’ve had the honor of watching and coaching her since day 1
Russell Westbrook explosiveness, the heart of a lion, as good of a teammate as you could ever ask for, humble, and a great work ethic. Sky's the limit for this young lady. Blessed to be a small part of her journey with
