@chinchila53 I think the main reason most people hate Sonamy has to do with their pride or ego. But some Sonamy fans also see their position as divine because their couple is "canon" and others aren't. (Not all, but the vast majority).

The "canon" thing feels as if it is forcing us to accept what they want us to accept, not what we want, using popularity as a mask so that SEGA doesn't have to provide explanations. Like political correctness, but on a marketing of blue blur scale. .

In my opinion, a true Sonic fan loves everything that "Sonic" means, whether it's canon or not. Many think they are Sonic fans, but they hate or mock everything that is not IDW, canon or mainstream media of Sonic. .
What makes one a "Real Sonic Fan". Is it the person who wants Sonic to remain how Sonic Team wants?. Is it the person who plays the games the most and is the best at them?. Is it someone who loves Sonic in all forms unconditionally?.
