They lit up with smiles and replied saying they were so happy we approached. There was an instant bond and desire to talk so we invited them in and spoke for 4 hours straight. Plans to see them in a 2 weeks!. We felt inebriated just by each other’s presence! Such a sweet moment.

I believe that Yogi Bhajan was a sexual predator, charlatan, exploiter, and worse based on my knowledge of testimony, both verbal and written, by survivors. Those survivors include close personal friends, basically family. I still interact with 3HO but I do not believe in it.

Cw/ SA. I grew up in 3HO. Tremendous amounts of harm was done to women and children by yogi bhajan and other predators in the community. When questions about harm ever came up, they were shot down with spiritual bypassing. Patriarchy is everywhere and must be consciously uprooted.
You can say "Sikhi promotes gender equality, we were taught to respect Kaurs" but that argument is used to downplay and silence people coming forward with their stories, there are individuals who abuse Sikhi to shield themselves from accountability. Stop denying that happens.
