As a City Commissioner in Tallahassee, I’ll be requesting a full review and explanation of this incident by the City Manager.
Body camera video shows Tallahassee Police Department Officer planting evidence in a DUI arrest.
The video shows Officer Oliver pouring out a sealed bottle of liquor and tossing it in Calvin Riley Sr.’s passenger seat before arresting Riley for a DUI.

The City Manager refuses to even discuss community concerns related to an officer opening a sealed liquor bottle, dumping out its contents and placing it back into a vehicle.
The bottle was cited as evidence in the police report.

Hotheaded statements don’t ease concerns— they set us back.
The Tallahassee Police Department is aware of portions of body-worn camera video that began circulating on social media two days before a case was set to go to trial. We have thoroughly reviewed the incident and did not find any evidence of misconduct.

This comes on the heels of the Board criticizing TPD’s infamous training with war criminal Eddie Gallagher.

Lake Munson is crucial to water quality in Leon County, the Wakulla Springs basin and North Florida in general.
Historically it’s been one of Florida’s most impaired lakes.
Upstream water projects are essential, especially in the face of greater development pressure.
