Acclaimed Irish writer Edna O'Brien dies aged 93 via @rte So sad to hear of the passing of this giant of Irish literature. I had the absolute privilege of interviewing her several times in her final years. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís ann.

I still can't believe what Muireann can do on that guitar with such ease and grace. A total privilege to sit opposite her on studio and watch and listen in awe.

@CavanAlan @RobLooseCannon @RTElyricfm Thought you meant the character! David Gorry played Francie/Piglet when I didi it and in the Eblana uanas well. It was a truly brilliant performance. Thirty-plus years after the original run people still ask about that show. It was a hugely important part of my professional life.

@CavanAlan @RobLooseCannon Was Dennis Conway who played my role in the Eblana. I was presenting the breakfast show on @RTElyricfm at that point. The older character/narrative voice was called Frank ...the younger character was called Piglet or Francie
