I've heard in AA meetings, that you should "go to 90 meetings in 90 days" I know a lot of people who did this. They shared in meetings. They sounded great. They didn't work the program. Meetings can keep you sober for a while. But WORKING THE STEPS will bring real recovery

You don't have to hit rock bottom. You can choose to stop digging at anytime and pull yourself out of the pit. Just find your local 12 step meeting or a drug/alcohol treatment center and say "Help Me". Help is available and you don't have to ever drink/use again.

You never feel like you know what you’re doing all the time in 12 step recovery... Figuring it out isn’t part of the game, it is the game. The fact you don’t know means you’re growing. They’re called growing pains for a reason. Remember, progress not perfection.

So, you know how sometimes you hear folks say in AA meetings, "The Big Book says..."? Or maybe "Well, the Bible says..." It's funny because both of these statements can be spot-on or totally off the mark. And no, you're not going crazy or contradicting yourself by thinking
