@rusty_medic2 The coveralls are very close to that… need the washing machine. Barn full again last night. About four hours of sleep and back at my day job now. It’s a grind, but I signed up for it… so I keep going.

@TripleEfarms Thank you, sir. We aren’t a huge operation… right around 200 mother cows, but I still try to take care of them all like a family member. Most of them appreciate that …a few don’t.

As I reread that… it reads like I’m approaching 80 years old. Should’ve said “even when I’m getting older”. I’m about 25 years from that. Nonetheless… it stings.

This young little March heifer got it done in a hurry… from water bag to calf on the ground in less than 15 minutes and here we are half hour later and the baby is on his feet for the first time. This is a Red Wave calf… heifer is a Red Empire.

6:00 pm Monday Was not hungry today. But now, very hungry. Think we overfed yesterday. Trying to crawl over the bale to get to his bottle.

Yes ma’am. He’s a little bitty dude.. I’ve never seen anything like it. I gotta weigh him, but my guess is not much over 20 pounds.
