@vvictorman_uel After I broke both my legs I was unable to put any weight on them and put in a wheelchair. My doctor refused to write a prescription for the ramp that I needed! I couldn't get it ordered and installed without a Dr's prescription.

The Bundys aimed guns at federal agents.
Oh and I’m not just talking about history from last century, I’m talking about *recent* White supremacist militia activity aka “very fine people on both sides” like Cliven Bundy & Co., whose terroristic threats somehow didn’t require a federal gestapo occupation to quell. Also:.

If biological differences were so intrinsic and unchangeable then why do people have to work so hard to enforce it?.
Am learning from the "sex based uniforms" thing that there are GCs in my replies that think that school girls need to be marked with skirts for biological reasons whereas skirts/dresses traditionally worn by men (eg kilts, certain religious dress among others) are "cultural".

@brandiesmith @ksorbs Many can't afford them. Insurance won't always cover them. Also, not all women are candidates for all types of bc. I can't take The Pill or the IUD For medical reasons. Also, WHY put that on women? Men can walk into all kinds of stores and pick up condoms.

In Texas, people in rural East Texas have to drive hours to get treatment in a metro area.
If the Hospital were to close, in my small rural town . We would have to drive 100 miles and to another state to access care. I am pretty sure, some patients would die before they reached the Hospital. #SaveHospitals #VoteLikeYourLifeDependsOnIt.

@sarahmusnicky @AutSciPerson Same here. When I needed disability accommodations I was removed from my honors program where I was doing really well and dropped into remedial classes and vocational classes where my particular disability made my life much harder and difficult.

@DevLogged @kiwi_raa @drorydress @thebrainsports @commaficionado Type 2 also has a genetic component. Yes people may cause/develop it, but there are also people who are born with it. People of Scandinavian descent especially. I don't know why. It bothers me that people think only T1 is "not your fault", but T2 is "your fault".

@ibdgirl76 I fell down a flight of stairs and broke multiple bones. Was in a wheelchair for most of a year & I was in so much pain I blacked out. Opioids were the only med that helped. I stopped them after my legs healed and I am not addicted.

@mailman_steve Grew up in rural East Texas about half way between Dallas and Houston. I have asthma and severe allergies and my Dr recommended I live somewhere that doesn't have pollen and mosquitoes & wasps etc 12 months out of the year. I prefer the culture/politics up here better too!.

I had a relative who died of AIDS. I remember the horror of an unchecked illness running through the country and how it was ignored and how medical staff largely refused to treat people with AIDS/HIV.
Today marks 40 years since the first reported cases of AIDS in the US: June 5, 1981. A pandemic that went ignored by our leaders for far too long—simply because of *who* it first struck. We honor the memories of those lost, & vow to never forget. #AIDSat40

I left South Africa at 19 to go to Penn. My freshman year Prof @MichaelEDyson taught the hottest course on campus called “Western Religious Thinkers: Tupac Shakur”. It blew my mind. At the convention I got to thank him for exposing me to that level of intellectual creativity ❤️

@bloody_scandal I have Pernicious Anemia. I can't absorb certain vitamins my whole life. No one figured out why I was always exhausted until I was in my late 40's. Now I'm taking the vitamins as shots, but it is largely too late because now I've got several disabilities from it.

Saying kids shouldn’t have their black dads murdered/arrested by cops because of racism shouldn’t be considered “political”.
A Black child like any child needs & deserves their father in their lives. If this brought you joy, Please keep your voices loud against racism & police brutality. Ready for somebody to say "Why are making this video political?" There is always a greater message behind what Ipost.

Awful quick response from people who can't seem to get around to finding and prosecuting rapists, stalkers and abusers.
Welcome to Texas where: Texas Freedom Caucus sends law firm letter and threatens to disbar attorneys who aid in abortions also will send special prosecutors to cities where DA’s refuse to prosecute. They are going to arrest attorneys who help. Fuck them. Come and get me!
