@maceskridge @RandPaul You’re accidentally correct. Which is why most of it was being sold overseas, which china and others stopped buying from the US because of Trumps tariffs. Which created a surplus of it that nobody would buy. So it spoiled and farmers didn’t get paid. Hence the $7B bailout.

Placing higher tariffs on Canada and Mexico than China because his dumb merchandise is made in china. Placing tariffs on many of our other allies to ‘sell more American’ doesn’t work when you cancel payouts on the infrastructure bill that was designed to increase manufacturing.
