Everyone should read this thread who bashes the police daily.
Last night I spent a shift with a @metpoliceuk ERPT team dealing with 999 calls. It is impossible to explain just how surreal an experience being out with these officers is, the officers are exposed to situations no one should see. Here are my notes from the opening two hours.

@Stopper88MD @SpamNotAMan Yeah I've heard many brag about the same cash for a better quality of life no shifts. The whole 'if you can get it take it' and who's the fool' ie me and others

@scotrpucop @KiloPapaD11 @ReasonableCop @sc1640184 And only works if people are not relocating to a new job. If people are relocating then if it becomes tenure then the job becomes responsible for costs if you get moved out.

@scotrpucop @grumpypleb That's a confusing post. Your fit with adjustments and SMT say no? So they disagree with optima?

@sdog87 @SpamNotAMan I think that has to come now tbh. I know a load of good cops that are desk bound now due the job. But they can't do the frontline now in any capacity. So pension off would make sense. I feel the number unable to work front line will be over 15%+ in a few years ( 2k)

@SpamNotAMan @sdog87 You missed out the words 'the most woefully understaffed despite the huge demand'

@grumpypleb I think I can see the job going to the Govt and asking for 5 to 6 m. To pension out everyone that oc health has deemed unfit. That's the only solution I can see otherwise the jobs stuck with all these u unfit officers
