@donalynbooks This is why I instituted Free Read Fridays. We discuss an article of the week (they get it on Monday and write a response to share Friday) and then we read whatever we want for the rest of the bell. It's sacred and happens every week no matter what. My student love it & so do I!

One of my favorite parts of the job :)
English teachers: that feeling when a former student knocks on your door, pops their head in, and quietly asks if you can read something they wrote? That's always a good feeling.

@heymrsbond @CatherineLugg It is in Ohio. The principal is in charge of getting long term coverage. We also don’t have to provide extended plans, but I did on both my maternity leaves because I wanted them to cover a certain amount of stuff
