Utah's seal was created by Harry Edwards in 1896. In 1903, a flag was needed for the World's Fair. Governor Wells tasked the Daughters of the Revolution with creating it: they embroidered Harry Edward's design on a blue field. We love our Seal! But our flag came by default.

Ballot Initiatives are not free. Clerks around the state report that it costs them ~$2.00 per signature to process and verify. With that math, a full initiative will cost $300,000 to the state, in addition to the $60,000 already spent of the failed Referendum.

The truth is that multiple polls show that only a third of citizens oppose a flag change.
By RUF’s own admission, people care more when you deceive them with false equivalencies of tearing down statues, using rainbow imagery, etc.

As a Utahan in exile I greatly appreciate the new flag. The only state identifier I had before was BYU merch. But now I have a hat with the new flag design. Before, if I had Utah flag merch everyone would assume I worked a presidential or military detail. It just doesn't work.

I commend the Are You Listening Yet group for their commitment to their cause. They spent a lot of time and money working to preserve the Historic Flag. I’ve heard their concerns and am committed to making sure the Historic Flag continues to be honored in Utah.

Now they're swindling donations and lying for signatures to force Utah governments to waste even more money for their egos?

did you know that your government spent $50,000 of your tax $’s on an ad campaign pushing the Beehive Flag? It was also presented at the Rose Bowl to represent the state. Both took place BEFORE it was even presented to the legislature.

Every Utahn (not just those 18+ years old and able to register as a voter) was given a voice - for years.
There were public comment periods, and chances to submit desires and opinions.
