This is a bridge that is heavily used by forestry haulage and traffic as there is a lot of 🌲 clearfelling in the area. Wonder if the investors, timber intetest will be paying for the repairs or if they pay a bond or development charges for this use?

There is no criteria or assessment of community concerns in the afforestation licensing process by the Forest Service @agriculture_ie minister @MHealyRae ignores such concerns in favour of forestry owners, timber industry lobby & profits/ returns? .

Unsuitable and inappropriate plantation and there is no real mechanism for input or influence of @agriculture_ie on the licensing regarding community concerns & social issues. Local people who matter are excluded from the process. #communitiesnotconifers.

Profits again leading the charge. GM (genetically modified) 🌲nursery stock / plants are prohibited in forest certification. @agriculture_ie @MHealyRae @IrishEnvNet @greenparty_ie @EU_ENV

This is actually covered in the forest / timber certification standards under the "polluter pays" principle. "10.10.3.1 The Organisation engages & cooperates with local authorities in the event of damage to public road network or public infrastructure that results from forestry"

Another cost to / tax on the 🇮🇪 taxpayers to pay for damage to public infrastructure (roads, bridges ++) by private 🌲investors and the timber industry who are already well backed by grants, premia and tax breaks in their profits from @MHealyRae @agriculture_ie @martinheydonfg.

And do you know what @ESBNetworks is right. What isn't storm proof is all the cumulative plantation forestry licensed by @agriculture_ie @MHealyRae which is falling on the lines. Where were all the major outages? where there is too much 🌲🌲 @MHealyRae needs to sort it now.

Mainly plantation 🌲 investors backed by grants, premia & tax breaks from @MHealyRae @agriculture_ie that is blocking our young people from accessing land to farm in #Leitrim & the west. We need a proper land use plan not just to be a 🌲sacrifice zone .

Another taxpayer funded "investment" @agriculture_ie Forest service @MHealyRae up in smoke adding to GHG emissions & particulate pollution. Who will cover the costs? How can insurance companies cover "forestry" now given the windblow & now this? @fbd_ie .
