@gadikian @alexdimes7 @KarimJDDA @paritytech @alice_und_bob Nice! At the risk of sounding like a broken record, if that’s the goal then rollups will get you there faster, cheaper and without technical sacrifices. But do experiment! We’re here to learn how it goes for you and to help if needed ✨

@gadikian @alexdimes7 @KarimJDDA @paritytech Nice! Target then solochains. This can be Polkadot/Kusama (designed for hosting rollups) or any logic that you want. I’d still recommend checking out rollups (parachains). Same features as solochain + inherited security + native bridges to other rollups.

@seunlanlege And less people know about the rust Ethereum client and how important that was for the history of the Ethereum blockchain.

@koeppelmann (1) and (3) look very, very much like what Polkadot delivers today. L2s are native with fast finality coming from the relay chain, and for messaging you have XCM. All this, with the added advantage that the SDK for building L2s is extremely resilient and flexible.

Today there’s only one good answer to this: Polkadot. Polkadot is the only blockchain where rollups are first class citizens and not a suboptimal patch born from an afterthought.
If you're looking to build a new L2 for an app-specific usecase, and you need very high performance and low costs, where do you build it?

@icryptosystem @KarimJDDA Huge misunderstanding of the networks architecture, hence why what you are saying does not apply here. With elastic scaling and rollups that Polkadot has, there’s room for a lot of users. Try it, you’ll have fun.

@PolkadotLeader Parachains that have a core can always renew without competition at a fixed price. Again. Parachains that have a core can always renew without competition at a fixed price. Once more. Parachains that have a core can always renew without competition at a fixed price.

@alice_und_bob @oakbay14 @pricey_life @benohanlon And if someone “forgets”, they can always buy on-demand block by block: they would have a worse service but can continue going until they can buy on the next cycle.

@AlexSiman @alice_und_bob Every Coretime cycle starts with 7 days exclusively dedicated for core renewals. If you hold a core that was assigned to a parachain then you can renew that core without the need of competing with anyone else.
