I am elected to act in what I believe is in the best interests of my constituents. I have had the whip taken away from me. However there are critical times when you have to do what is right, no matter what the personal consequences. It is hard I won't pretend it isn't.

I think this argument has force. Having voted for the deal twice and been labelled a “traitor” for doing so I am coming round to the argument we should see if reality lives upto the promises made to the electorate.
Interesting that the Government is prepared to get MPs to vote on the same deal three maybe four times until it gets the answer it wants. but asking the people to vote again would appear to be a definite no. .
