@CryptoKrumm @Gfunkera86 @PlayBattlePlan @rebootgg_ @arbitrum Technically speaking nova is not a "rollup", it achieves cheap gas by not posting full tx data to Ethereum, which makes up 90+% of the cost of other L2s. This is why it's called an "optimium" not an "optimistic rollup". Since EIP-4844 reduces tx data costs, nova is unaffected.

@evan_van_ness @WeekInEthNews Will be sad to see it go! Always lots of good stuff in there, probably the most quality newsletter in the space.

@jalil_eth @0xQuit To know you haven't missed anything, (a malicious sync-party leaving txs out), you need to sync the full ethereum chain anyway Plus how would you bridge back to L1? If you look at how Facet does it it's literally just a backend signing stuff, they could rug everything anytime...

@gkrastenov Can also use the method of creating and selfdestructing a contract to return the eth back

@ctjwa @windscribecom To be clear, I don't have anything against Windscribe directly. Taking a brief look at their stuff it looks well engineered and thought out.

@dumbnamenumbers @0xCygaar Do you mind explaining to me how the ether bridge out of Facet (withdrawls) work? Please remember to make reference to decentralization and censorship resistance in your answer, thanks!

@1_00_proof @0xOwenThurm What are your thoughts on formal verification for these purposes? I kind of hope that one day we'll have good enough tools that formally verifying systems like this will be much more accessible

@santiagoroel I'm of the opinion that DevEx is king for blockchains, I've always found Solana smart contracts, explorers and dApps to be a tier below in terms of DevEx (not UX!) Other than that, I see the main benefits of Solana being speed and low fees, something hopefully EVM L2s can do.

@WigglesCEO Depending on how cheap the chain is to use, these numbers can be fudged pretty easily. I would be cautious, e.g. given my rough math (0.00242 * 100k * 1.83), it would cost ~$440usd to create 100k accounts on NEAR. That's pretty low, especially for NEAR whales trying to pump.
