The research that our group has been doing over the past few years are heavily based on understanding whole-body momentum generation and control in sporting movements because those priorities underpin any of the surface-level kinematics/techniques that you see!(continued below)

Once we establishes how each leg interacts with the environment to change our body’s momentum, we can further dive into how momentum are being transferred and managed at the segment level to help accomplish the goals of the movement. But it all starts with impulse-momentum!

A follow up from this paper has just been accepted yesterday! An expansion of the analysis with more people, and a comparison across pitch types and versus ball speed!
