3rd Class got off to a great start using Google Classroom by writing lovely acrostic poems about Weaving Well-being programme.

3rd Class have been learning all about 2-D shapes in Maths but in Art too! They made abstract art using 2-D shapes and primary colours.
The children became innovative in creating their own abstract pattern, whilst also revising how to construct and distinguish between the shapes.
Congratulations to pupils from St Mark’s SNS representing the ‘Students Voice in Anti-Bullying Policy’ at a consultation workshop today in DES HQ. Minister Foley gave them the ‘warmest of welcomes’ and praised pupils in all schools.

As part of our 6th Class SPHE programme 'Weaving Wellbeing' the children created phrases this week that we should all remember and use in order to be kinder to ourselves and develop a 'kind mind'. We also used our minds to get creative and built our own musical instruments.

Room 24 became Civil and Structural Engineers today! We built the strongest, tallest structures using spaghetti and marshmallows. We discovered that spaghetti bunched together gave better support and if the bottom is weak, the top won’t hold!

5th class explored Rangoli patterns which originate from India. These were designed directly on to the floor/ground using materials such as coloured rice, flour, spices, coloured sand, or flower petals. Designs were unique to families and were passed on through generations 🎨
