Our new paper just got published in #PNAS. We show that the surface-atmosphere system acts like a giant heat-engine which works as hard as it can. So what does this imply for land-atmosphere interactions? Read more here:

How do heatwaves differ in their mechanisms, and how do their impacts on ecosystems vary? @yinglin_tian addresses this in a new paper in @CommsEarth. Happy to have been part of this work alongside @akleidon @ZscheischlerJak @zhou_sha @xiangzLuo and others.

@rishpardikar I am sure it may be an issue hidden somewhere within the pages of party manifestos, but why nobody talks about it? Quick answer: 1) Unfortunately, it does not fit within the narratives of vote bank politics 2) Lack of climate change communication to the farmers/common public.

#EGU24 was all about exciting talks/posters, stimulating discussions, and happy reunions. Had a great session, presenting my findings on extreme rainfall sensitivities. Now have a diary full of notes to hopefully get back to..
