From a CT standpoint, this decision on football was inevitable but bungled from the start. I really thought with a bunch of other states — with COVID metrics much worse than ours — well into their seasons, we’d have evidence that supported giving football a shot, at least.

Tonight’s Newtown victory over Darien was the 1st Darien loss to anybody other than New Canaan since Oct. 5, 2013 (St. Joseph). It was also Darien’s first loss to a non-FCIAC team since Masuk in the 2010 L semis… That was also Darien’s last game vs an SWC opponent #cthsfb.
