Syracuse, VT and BC actually are pretty good teams. Not NCAA caliber but pretty good. The issue was WF and Pitt vs. half the B12 teams that got a bid.

Burrow was throwing the arguably the top 2 WRs in the NFL right now + Terrence Marshall. He had at least 2 active NFL RBs plus Thaddeus Moss @ TE. Yes Burrow is a better passer but Cam could have easily added an extra TD pass per game throwing to THAT crew. Also 14 v. 15 games.

Yes, Clemson is more dependent on booster donations than most big-time power 5 programs. And yes, after our coach won 2 titles in 3 years we paid him after he was below market for quite a while.
