My 3 rules of reading Twitter reports:
1. If you haven’t heard of the person, do some research.
2. If the person works for a credible outlet, see if other credible people you trust are corroborating.
3. If not, ignore the tweet.
Seems like a good time for this.
An FSU team on the cusp of a great achievement was robbed due to a controversial decision by the powers-that-be that benefited a less deserving SEC team.
Has that ever happened before?
It’s one thing to say “pray” in a statement. It’s another thing to actually pray, reverently, out loud, to God Almighty, in such a public, secular platform.
Thank you
@danorlovsky7
for your voice and your heart and your courage and your passion for the name of Jesus.
1. Brandon Streeter was a Tiger long before he started calling plays. Consider that before you hit send.
2. A lot of people convinced themselves (both locally & nationally) that Dabo was soft & weak. Y’all owe him an apology. He wants to win, period.
Lotta folks missing the point on OBJ handing out cash. He took the greatest moment in these players’ lives and made it about himself in the most selfish way possible. And then LSU told the worst blatant lie in history to try to cover it up.
On both sides of the ball, the players have responded to Cade in a way they haven't responded to their QB in years.
Just an obvious observation at this point.
A certain analyst based in the southeastern United States just said on Sportscenter, of Clemson, “Their schedule has been abysmal. Their best win is Texas A&M.”
Like Bama’s best win isn’t also Texas A&M.
Let’s say it was a real positive test and not a false positive.
There has not been a single documented case AT ANY LEVEL of Covid transmission from one team to another within a game.
FSU was looking for a reason not to play. Period.
Just imagine: Alabama-Clemson. Tied. Overtime. Bama gets the ball first, scores a TD, and wins. Trevor Lawrence never gets onto the field.
There is no defense for this overtime system. None. Zero.
For people looking for the walk-off radio call…
Thanks
@ClemsonBaseball
for capturing the moment. One of the best days of my professional life.
What a pleasure to share this moment with
@32diamond
on the mic!
Yesterday, my wife and I finished reading the Bible all the way through for the first time. Did it in a year. What an awesome exercise to dive into the story of God.
Now that I’ve done it, it’s even more exciting to dive back into it for a 2nd time. I’d recommend it.
Sun: Rockets beat Warriors. Dabo attends.
Mon: Cardinals shut out Phillies, only win in last 6 games. Dabo attends.
Tues: Raptors win by largest margin in playoff history. Dabo attends.
Drake didn’t curse Clemson, folks. Dabo just trumped Drake.
Dabo: DJ is a great leader, nobody has worked harder, well respected, the guys love him
Fans: SHUT UP DABO, THAT DOESN’T MATTER, HE CANT PLAY, HE SUCKS AND YOU SUCK
*DJ reportedly enters portal*
Same fans on social media: DJ is a great leader, nobody has worked har…
It’s interesting how an Ole Miss player pretended to be a dog marking its territory in Mississippi State’s stadium at the end of a fierce, hotly contested rivalry game and no one felt provoked enough to throw things at him
In his postgame radio interview, Brad Brownell said a lot.
—Felt the game was taken away from them
—Technical foul didn’t look like much
—Mentioned how the building affects officials
—Upset that PJ isn’t protected like other guys in the league
Haven’t ever heard him like that.
Yesterday, a lot of adults projected their political beliefs onto a bunch of college athletes and pretended it was about the menu at a White House championship celebration. Hopefully today will make more sense.
Last fall,
@ClemsonMSoccer
had the best team in the country and didn’t get to play for a championship until the draft took several key players in the spring.
It’s only right that this team finished the job. What a run to a third national championship.
—Sammy Brown: “Goodwin won’t replace Venables on the recruiting trail.”
—TJ Moore: “The Tampa pipeline closed when Jeff Scott left.”
—Bryant Wesco: “Clemson won’t be able to recruit elite WRs in the NIL era.”
Moral of the story: Don’t tell Dabo what he can’t do.
The Mike Norvell misinformation campaign continues. Still claiming that Clemson practiced and traveled a symptomatic player.
These are lies that have been debunked. The facts haven’t changed.
That’s such a freaking great win. Bama had won 19 straight at home, refs were a factor, team didn’t flinch.
Kept finding answers all night long and maintained composure at every turn. They’ll be talking about that win all season.
Dabo Swinney asked why not. He made the fans believe again.
Erik Bakich asked why not. He made the fans believe again.
It’s hard to appreciate history being made in real time. Recognize what you’re seeing. Wrap your arms around it.
Looking forward to next weekend.
Seth Davis, Lunardi, Rothstein, etc have begged for college hoops to schedule more early season marquee games for years.
Now, they’re all drinking the Big 12 kool aid, giving them a pass for terrible OOC scheduling, and blaming others for noticing that the system is rigged.
Please tell me we’re not gonna follow up a week of “Clemson hasn’t been impressive enough” coverage with a week of “how dare Clemson try so hard to impress us” coverage
Here's a closer look at some of those *questionable* foul calls on Ian Schieffelin during the final two minutes of
@ClemsonMBB
's 72-71 loss to Duke.
Brad Brownell added in post that he felt the game was taken from them.
Jesus Christ: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through me.”
Pope Francis: “All religions are paths to reach God.”
As heretical and ear-tickling as it gets.
Pope Francis to children in Singapore: "All religions are paths to reach God. They are—to make a comparison—like different languages, different dialects, to get there. But God is God for everyone. If you start to fight saying 'my religion is more important than yours, mine is
Chase Hunter didn’t score, Clemson set a season high for turnovers, and PJ Hall spent critical late minutes on the bench in foul trouble.
Given all that, the Tigers comfortably beat a previously unbeaten TCU team on a neutral floor. Naturally.
A lot of talk about the freshmen right now, and rightfully so. But a strong senior class full of future pros came back to school to do this. They set the tone for this season. They will live forever in history.
Let's be clear: What Ohio State is doing is a natural human response to this situation, especially for young people.
Problem is, nobody gave Clemson grace for being human in much more defensible circumstances. So we have to apply the standard evenly across the board.
Since 2012, Clemson is 54-6 (.900) vs the ACC.
Since 2012, Alabama is 5-2 (.714) vs the ACC.
Just imagine what would happen if Bama had to play an ACC schedule every year. Did I do that right?

Praying for the Bresee family this morning. Just an awful, awful tragedy. I can't even imagine the pain and sorrow. Lord, grant them peace that passes all understanding.

Here’s your friendly reminder that when people pretend that only Dabo said things that many of his peers also said, it means they hate Dabo more than they care about the issue
Jon Scheyer has been affiliated with Duke since 2006. Never played or coached anywhere else in CBB. His privilege is showing.
This is like if Bill Gates started lecturing poor people about poverty. You have no idea what it’s like out here for the unprivileged masses.
“I can go through the whole game and talk about the different plays of them pushing us in the back…”
Jon Scheyer on Brad Brownell saying the game was taken from them:
ESPN keeps showing that Clemson’s YPC allowed goes from 1.7 to 3.0 without Dexter Lawrence in the game.
3.0 YPC would make Clemson the 6th-best run defense in the nation. Still elite.
Seeing an awful lot of “Jonathan Taylor starts off Heisman campaign” talk all over the place after last night. It’s almost like Travis Etienne didn’t already have a better game this week.
In Genesis 1, He made light in the darkness.
In John 1, He was light in the darkness.
In Revelation 21, He is the only light we’ll need for all eternity.
Praise the Father for sending us Light.
