Master Trooper Parker has proudly served the citizens of South Carolina as a State Trooper since 1973. Today will be the last USC football game he works before he retires for the second time on October 26th, 2022, with a total of 49 years of service. Thank you for your hard work!
Congratulations to SCHP Basic 120 & 121. Earlier this year, I spent one week with each class as their cadre. It was great mentoring them and seeing them transition from Trooper Trainees to Troopers. What a great day!

I just wanted to thank the employees of Lee Electrical Construction. They came all the way from Supply, NC to assist Dominion Energy and Aiken Electric Co-Op in restoring power to those affected by the storms yesterday.
Allendale County has experienced major tornado damage from the storm today. Power lines are down, a large amount of roads are closed, and homes are destroyed.

Update: Interstate 26 eastbound at the 150 mile marker is now open. I just want to say thank you to our troopers, dispatchers, firefighters, military personnel, SCDOT, and civilians. All of them played a part in helping get the interstate cleared up.
Troopers & local law enforcement agencies statewide are out conducting drivers license check points. We want everyone to make it to their destinations safely!
This collision was caused by a drowsy driver. Fatigued driving makes you pay less attention to the road, slows your reaction time, and affects your ability to make good decisions. If you are tired or sleepy, please pull over to rest or change drivers.
I was at North High School today for a Prom Talk with some of the juniors and seniors. We discussed how they can stay safe for prom. After that the students got an opportunity to drive a golf cart while wearing DUI goggles.
I'm out here at South Carolina State University with the Xi Psi chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity inc. We are here educating students about the dangers of impaired driving.

Lexington County: Interstate 26 westbound at the 128 mile marker. All lanes are blocked due to an overturned truck pulling a camper trailer. Crews are working to get the road cleared up.

Don’t be scared this Halloween. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is protecting you on our roadways in all 46 counties of the state. Remember to reduce your speed and look out for pedestrians that may be trick-or-treating.
The Operation Southern Shield campaign runs from July 19th to July 24th. Please reduce your speed. We want everyone to arrive at their destination safely.

The SCHP is seeking information about a fatal collision that occurred in Colleton County on 1/24/2021. A pedestrian was struck by a Honda Accord and that vehicle left the scene. If you have any information about this incident, you can leave an anonymous tip by calling *HP

The Fatal Vision Simulator presented by USC Aiken Public Safety was a great event today. USC Aiken students performed a Walk and Turn and drive a golf cart through a course while wearing Fatal Vision goggles. They also used a driving simulator.
The I-26 lane reversals are still in effect. Various agencies are working around the clock to ensure that you can get to your destination. Please continue to follow all traffic laws. Drive safely!
Orangeburg County: All lanes of Interstate 95 northbound at the 97 mile marker are currently blocked due to a vehicle fire. If you are traveling north you can get off of the exit 97 and then get back onto the interstate to bypass the incident. Please drive carefully.
