This a real situation. My HS attendance rate is 97% for 4 day week. Has been for 6 years running. 5 day week was around 91%. Absenteeism will skyrocket. Being there 5 days does NOT equate to higher achievement. Our school got better when moving to 4 days.
*Some* lawmakers. Not this one. I’m tired of the legislature & the Walters OSDE putting hurdles in the way of our teachers. Virtual days aren’t ideal, but sometimes reality is inconvenient & you have to make it work however you can. Some of my colleagues refuse to see this.

Parents get mad at school coaches when their kids don’t play as much as they think they should. They feel they’ve invested so much time & money that their kid should be playing more when reality is they’ve thrown money away for the last decade on pointless training & AAU teams.🤷🏻♂️
