This is just ridiculous... While I think it's too aggressive, the Euro is calling for temperatures to run 30-35 degrees colder than average Friday night into Saturday next week. This doesn't even factor in the wind chill.

IT'S OFFICIAL: We shattered the record for the highest tide in Portland's history. Records go all the way back to 1912. The old record was the blizzard of 1978 where the highest tide was 14.17'. We topped out at 14.57' this afternoon.

I'm becoming very concerned about the threat of coastal flooding around noon time on Saturday, 12:05 PM to be exact. Our peak here in Portland on Wednesday was 13.84 feet and we saw high impacts.
This storm is forecasted 14.1 feet on Saturday. (1/2)

Conditions still look great for viewing the eclipse in Maine tomorrow. A band of high-level cirrus clouds will approach western and central New England but likely stay to the west of Maine throughout the day. We will see mainly sunny skies with highs in the 50s to lower 60s.

Here it is... our early call snowfall map for Tuesday-Tuesday night. Trends over the last couple days have been for a little less snowfall. There is still a lot of differences in computer models. This is not a major storm, but it is one that will cause some problems on the roads.

A rare landspout touched down in Denmark, Maine yesterday. It caused some roof damage to a barn, as well as flipping over a trailer that held this gentlemen’s bee supplies.
