@sanjanafeasts But...your profile clearly says Indian. Clearly you identify as such yourself, not English. And you know what they are asking. Not to be racist, but because they are interested. Source: I'm in the same boat but don't get offended for social media points.

@KimFlorey2 @real_shirelass You are paying more than twice. Tax on income. Tax on purchase. Tax on petrol. Tax on inheritance. Tax on property sale. Tax on property purchase. Stamp duty. Pension tax. National insurance. Council tax. Where does it end?

@RichardBurgon Banks. Government endorsed and protected monopolies in the business of creating money exploiting people who have none. A business built on empty promises. As a society we are intentionally kept financially illiterate. The financial deficit the world is in is created by banks.

@juniordoc554 @Telegraph Being a devil's advocate...just being over 65 and in ED almost gets you a CT head +/- CTA. These routinely get requested by doctors and nurses, sometimes only after a 3min encounter with a triage nurse. PA's requesting these is not a problem. Local protocols are.

@EffieEss64 @dirtybird12345 @DrBeckyl @DoctorsVoteUK @DrLukeCraddock @DrEilidhMaria @parthaskar @TheBMA @gmcuk @NHSEngland Yeah, that ship has sailed. Along with consultant nurses/anp, AA's, advanced surgical practitioners doing major ops, non medics with PhD calling themselves doctors in a clinical setting and... Brexit.

@ACEMcCormack @ExplosiveEnema2 That's because you trained in medicine, surgery and orthopaedics, not medical model, surgical model and orthopaedic model. You see, arthroplasty takes a long time to specialise in, but arthroplasty MODEL is much shorter and you know and do more.

@FrederikBaron @mancunianmedic @InfamousGasman I stand corrected. In Slovenia it's just Dr. med. (post nominal) upon med school completion and Dr (pre nominal) on PhD. Medical world is confusing.

@FrederikBaron @mancunianmedic @InfamousGasman Well a medical school is a graduate degree so can't have a postgraduate degree at the end. No proper research to get a PhD. Europe is essentially similar but called differently. EU med school graduate is NOT an MD but Dr. med.

@energizerapid @agemjourney I've noticed most UK residents aren't really proud to say they are doctors. Many years of studying and sacrifice for what? US is the opposite. Speaks to the cultural differences of appreciation for medicine as well.

@DrClaireEmma @agemjourney Was told the same thing as a CST1 and acute surgical stuff. Spent most of my time either oncall or as a ward doc.

@attackdogX @EdgeE50124 @RadioGenoa Judging by the demographic of people and boarded up houses, I'd say it's the carnival in London.

@irenep671 @iDrSunny According to MedX, consultants don't really have a choice due to pressure from management.

@amnerisuk I don't see a problem with this. They are licensed to prescribe and administer those things and skill to do it safely. One hopes they have indemnity for their sake and knowledge of complications, risks and benefits for the patient's sake. Better a doctor than a scrub nurse.

@DrHWazir @Keir_Starmer This is a failure of the government. There's a shortage of doctors. Gov decides to reduce training numbers, train more non-doctors to do doctor jobs and double down on doctors who work more to compensate (private work included). Not to mention tax and pension. Self sabotage...

@MammyFinn @Anongas33 This is what SCP's SHOULD be doing according to the @RCSnews . Instead they get to play in theatres and doctors do the bulk of "boring" things.

@ItsnotrightUK Old post but still worrying. NHS calling for plumbers to do PCI next. No wait - no plumbers will apply because the pay and hours are better being a plumber!

@ItsnotrightUK @LBC What I don't understand is where were all the consultants when all of this started happening? It seems like a lot of them just went along with it.
