As per Treaty of Purandar, Shivaji wasn’t even supposed to attend Aurangzeb’s durbar. It was Jai Singh who convinced a reluctant Shivaji to go after giving him a thousand assurances.
Secondly, as per Aurangzeb Shivaji wasn't even supposed to be alive. Yet it was Mirza Raja Jai Singh and other Rajputs who saved Shivaji's life not once or twice but four times. Funny that negative reading of history is also a selective reading.
