#M23 rebels in the east of the #DRCongo have denied accusations that their actions are causing a humanitarian catastrophe. Nearly 250,000 people have been displaced by the fighting this year and thousands have just fled the town of #Minova which the M23 captured a few hours ago.

#DRCongo reports from the east say tens of thousands of civilians are fleeing fighting between the army and the M23.  The army is trying to re-take the town of #Masisi which was recently captured by the Rwandan backed rebels.  Humanitarian agencies say civilians are in danger.

#Tanzania has confirmed an outbreak of #Marburg in the country. In a joint press briefing with the @WHO in the capital Dodoma, President @SuluhuSamia said health authorities have confirmed one positive case of the Marburg virus in the north-western region of Kagera.
