Hi Dr. White. This isn't much of a refutation considering you're appealing to yourself as an authority rather than directly refuting his claim. Regarding your comments on the Eucharist: can you elaborate as to why you think that St. Ignatius did not have the real presence in mind when refuting what seems to be the Docetists in his letter to the Smyrnaeans? Since the Docetists essentially denied the Incarnation, it follows that they would also deny the real presence, would it not? Hence, St. Ignatius saying, "...they refuse to acknowledge that the Eucharist is the flesh of our savior Jesus Christ, which suffered for our sins and which the Father by his goodness raised up." Please let me know, I'd like to hear what your response is. Thank you!

@sola_chad Do you see how silly you look? You post anti Catholic rhetoric all day and then post about Augustine like heās your buddy.

Absolutely. It was shocking when I started reading the fathers and saw such powerful condemnation of schism and those that twisted the scripture to their own likings. Many went after teachings named after men as you noted. Thereās nothing new under the sun. Unfortunately, this schism seems to have led to additional heresies and divisions within Christendom (JWās, LDS, and many others).

The LDS system relies entirely on the Church going astray or falling into apostasy (as you know). It seemed hypocritical to appeal to the church to refute the LDS claims when I myself also rejected the very church I was appealing to. As you said, you canāt refute Mormonism without Catholicism.

I am astonished by how many people assume that I am not saved or call into question Godās working in my life. You all need to take the logs out of your own eyes and quit questioning the salvation of others. Matthew 7:1-5 RSV "Judge not, that you be not judged. [2] For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. [3] Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? [4] Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? [5] You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

@StefB722 @dylansusemoji @sola_chad If you continue reading the passage, many of his disciples left at this teaching. v.66 Does this also offend you?
