@bphillipsonMP Dumb. As if every planning decision must favour the developer not the objectors.

@afneil Isn’t it time to recognise that “international law” just isn’t law. It’s politics dressed up as law.

@ArchRose90 However, she didn’t deny it. “I don’t recognise…” is the formula used by politicians who can’t deny something but wish to give the impression that they do. It’s meaningless nonsense.

@MichaelLCrick Poor guy didn’t get the memo. Calling your opponents “scum” “vermin” etc and treating them as such is just so yesterday. That’s what they think, of course. But they mustn’t let the mask slip!

I never thought I’d hear “lawyerly” used as a pejorative but Starmer and his A-G can add that to their achievements.
The Chagos debacle confirms all the negatives that voters had formed about Starmer - that he is weak, woke, spendthrift, lawyerly, unpatriotic, a bad negotiator, a champion of every country but his own.

Three Labour cliches in just one short sentence!
“There have been difficult choices along the way… but… the change this country needs can’t be delivered overnight” Labour’s Michael Shanks says his party is “determined” to offer more than “short term sticking-plaster solutions”, but real change will take time #bbcqt
