There’s nothing so private as a marriage. But, honestly, how does Harry reconcile the values he once espoused - including an Army officer’s oath to defend the Queen - with his wife’s not-so-thinly-veiled contempt for the things our late monarch stood for.

I walk around London and feel assailed by the ghosts of the city past. What have we done to one of civilisation’s great ornaments? Our capital feels hollowed-out, decayed, repopulated and yet strangely trivial. As a young man London felt vital. Now, increasingly, it is hostile.

Over the years, few statues have consistently moved me like this one. The artilleryman symbolises unsleeping fortitude; whenever I passed it, I felt a pulse of pride. I don’t expect all my countrymen to share its veneration. But I object to its use as a piece of Hamas agitprop.

Why take an MP’s salary, if you’re not prepared to accept the obligations of history and office? .This isn’t taking a stand, it’s taking a dump on centuries of tradition around which generations have agreed to bury their differences. Performative and puerile.

To be sworn in as an MP, you have to make an oath to the King. This is what I decided to say, in protest.

Imagine having to live life like this. Every health scare the subject of global speculation. Any attempt to keep a scrap of your life private denied. I wish our future Queen didn't face these choices but, as a monarchist, I salute the sacrifices she makes.

A soldier at today's Trooping of the Colour was the 13th consecutive member of his family to serve in the same regiment. The UK can often seem set to Year Zero. But largely hidden, there remains a Britannia Profound. It values history, duty and avoids change for change's sake.

This is gratuitous class-baiting. There are plenty of working class folk who were taught the value of good grammar. I'm one of them. Find another stick to beat Boris with.

I've been on the media this morning so my accent and grammar are being critiqued. I wasn't Eton educated, but growing up in Stockport I was taught integrity, honesty and decency. Doesn't mater how you say it. Boris Johnson is unfit to lead.

Sitting outside cafe today. Man approaches: "I just wanted to say I think your show's great." .Assuming he didn't mistake me for Dermot Murnaghan, that was a @GBNEWS first for me. And - given what it's taken to get here - worth more than every industry bauble I've ever had.

I think, perhaps, the child’s parents bear an iota of responsibility for their pre-school child having virtually no teeth left by the age of four.

18 teeth removed from a 4-year old! That is a shocking indictment of how badly the Tories broke NHS dentistry. Labour will introduce supervised tooth brushing for 3 to 5 year olds in primary schools to prevent decay. #Panorama.

Rwanda is now a peaceful, stable and relatively prosperous nation. If someone is in fear for their life - and seeking a safe haven from persecution - what’s wrong with Rwanda?.

We’re sending people who try to seek a safe life here in the UK to Rwanda? Is that what we’re doing? Lower than low we are at the top!.

I’m loathe to slag off an outfit which stood by me during times of woe. But the speed with which Sky embraced journalism as activism is shocking. The Sky I joined in ‘97 offered an alternative to the BBC’s baked-in bias. Now it feels like the paramilitary wing of Channel 4 News.

Sky News needs to get a grip. It’s now clearly more partisan than the BBC or C4. Why? When I was Chairman of Sky News it was generally regarded as the most impartial and unbiased of all the UK’s broadcast news services.

Parts of Britain have been reduced to a state of barely governable medievalism. The rot runs deep. Basic levels of politeness, civility and neighbourliness have withered. Police officers are no longer willing or able to uphold the law. The Silent Majority is quietly despairing.

Sat in on a Zoom call after tonight’s show with a dozen British farmers who are fearful that the UK faces a future existential threat because of our inability to feed all our own people. We currently produce about half our own food and that number is falling fast.

John, a couple of years ago I was watching my wife die, and working out how to bring up our kids up as a single-parent. It's given me quite a tough skin. So the question you need to ask is not whether I'm a vile bigot, but whether ad hominen insults will advance your cause.
