@MokanBasketball @rue_wells I know a couple of kids that practice with/against Rue almost every day. They tell me that he is one of the best on ball defenders, plays at a different tempo, understands the game incredibly well & is probably the best rebounder on the team.

NKC superintendent voted against Rue. Imagine her district without the numerous kids that freely transfer, live in apartments without their parents, live in other high school districts. I’d be embarrassed and ashamed.
@MSHSAAOrg has proven itself incompetent in doing what’s best for student athletes. While hundreds of athletes that transfer schools for athletic reasons get to play, this young man does not. I hope something changes and that MSHSAA can restore some credibility to its processes. This is a tough one to swallow for those of us who thought MSHSAA actually cared about the lives of our student athletes.

National news for Rue’s basketball fate. Eyes are on the callous and without compassion MSHSAA efforts to keep the kid from playing. Thousands of attorneys fees to keep Rue ineligible. NKC sup’t affidavit shows she didn’t review all the facts.

Even then, it’s clear a hardship exception should apply. Crazy how NKC sup’t voted against Rue given transfers approved in NKC dist.
