Tip for anyone playing in an open decklist tournament, if you see your opponent has spell pierce in their deck, don’t ever cast a non-creature spell unless you can pay 2. Ever. Even if they’ve played all copies or don’t have blue up, just don’t do it, it’s too risky

I don’t think a lack of cheap, playable removal was the reason why DRS got banned. It’s a matter of rate and color bleed. Deathrite got banned in a format where plow, push, and bolt were/are legal
