@DrFrederickChen I spent 12 years trying to integrate a particular space where quant finance, financial econ, and actuarial sci meet. ChatGPT more or less sucked at that task without some seriously tendentious sequential prompting but then again that’s kinda what I expected. Why would it know it?

@mmay3r The inexorable lean towards the center of distributions is also a loss of uniqueness and interesting edge cases. We can also see this in the uniform-ish looks of “IG models” tho I get the point is about LLMs. It’s extensible tho isn’t it?

Just a reminder that in longevity science I’ve heard that no small number of the oldest people we’ve used for our elder stats might have been perpetrating fraud on pension systems by pretending to be an older and dead relative. Not sure about IQ in this equation

@EM_RESUS When my kids were little-ish, every time I needed to look this up, and that was way too often for my taste, it was always “head forward,” so curious where the head-back thing comes from?

@craigbrockie I’m a mere baby at 66 but pulled something like this off in similar ways 58+. I even corresponded briefly w this dude on IG. Basically, yeah, it’s possible to do this kind of thing even at later ages.
