Just been helping out and our Girls 1st XV training tonight. Holy Hecka, I reckon teenage girls are 100 times easier to coach than boys. They just listen, soak up the info like sponges and then execute. No mucking. Really impressive. I enjoyed that.

Been back living in Te Aroha for a month. I'm biased, but it's always been the best place on the entire planet. Hour long bush walk with dogs around Maunga at dusk, followed by a quick pint and catchup with a passersbys. The simple life is pretty damn good. Cracked it

Daughter just completed The Longest Day, 12.5 hours of punishing team fitness activities. Part of 8 wk Cactus programme. Was amazing to see the kids pick each other back up. Every NZ teen should do this.

Had a mean day today. Total relaxation. Pools at 7am, then ☕️ , 🥓 followed by weights & a long bush walk with 🐕. Lugged a few bins of river rocks & poured them in new garden beds, then had a wee 🍺 and many laughs with the neighbours as the sun set. 2024 feels better already

It's been six months of pain, but I'm now stronger at 50, beating all my maxes from 2000. I'm not genetically gifted, just a bit stubborn. Gym has taught me to keep working when I don't feel like it, as most days are tough. Just be consistent & follow the plan.
