In 2010, I showed up to GS in an oversized suit with a head-down mentality. By the time I left, I had a slightly better fitting suit, a vitamin-D deficiency, bags (under my eyes), and that weird smirk in my profile picture. But it gets 5 Glassdoor stars from me.

There is technology…and there is TECHNOLOGY ASML defines that second category Their system blasts molten drops of tin with a laser 50,000 times a second - twice (of course) - which creates plasma 40 times hotter than the surface of the sun. Do I know what any of that means?

Brookfield was our most requested @bizbreakdowns and @RumiPartners was up to the challenge. Public asset managers are in the "business of investing". But each has "house specialties". BAM takes owner-operator to a new level with BIP, BREP, and (once upon a time) BPY.

I did not expect such an open and honest conversation. Lots of reflection on how markets have shifted + views on today. Also crazy to think about how much the opportunity with index adds/drops has completely reversed.

MIR is the most interesting "stock" I've come across in years. Unique end-market (nuclear) yet diversified (med/industrial). 15+ year organic + acquisitive track record w/ resilient EPS profile through downturns. Limited sellside coverage and thrown into "SPAC" pile. Good listen

As the great Primetime once said, "if you look good, you feel good, if you feel good, you play good, if you play good, they pay good." I knew the beauty market wasn't going anywhere - but I did not appreciate the barriers that exist to battle titans like L'Oreal.

Loved this from Tom Hanks on competition (slightly edited) "In auditions, if there were 100 people, I'd say I'm better than 50 of you and just as good as 45 of you. There's 5 of you that I cannot touch because you're geniuses.. but if I watch carefully, I can hit that level."
