Reached a new milestone in the PS1 Megami Ibunroku Persona fan translation project!
With the Snow Queen path already done, I've finished translating and formatting all of the text for the Sebec path and sent it to Fothsid. Next on the agenda is doing the demon contact text.

Good news for Tengai Makyou fans:
Tengai Makyou II: Manjimaru (PC Engine CD) is on the table. It's possible that the translation will begin at some point next year.
Things are settling down after my trip. Translations for all existing projects will resume this evening!

I hadn't checked my e-mail for a while, but when I checked it just now, I saw that the WonderSwan Hacker sent me an updated patch out of the blue a couple of weeks ago!

I'm happy to share with you that Serpens, the hacker who started a brand new hacking project for Shiren the Wanderer: The Monsters of Moonlight Village on the GB, was able to get graphics in and laid out the necessary groundwork for the project!

I didn't take any freedom with the translation. The people who complain mostly just wanted honorifics and last-name, first-name ordering. Some are upset that the title is in English.
But don't worry. I didn't try to get creative. I just translated the game.

Still waiting on a new, faster computer (the big breakthrough I need for the HM2 project). I need to swap save states with the hacker, but the emulator he uses runs at about half speed on my computer. It's weird, because most PS1 emulators have no problem.

From what I've heard, hacking for the GB Shiren project seems to have resumed after a long pause. That's good news, and timely.
The hacking is still in its infancy, but the translation of the in-game script is complete (and has been for a long time). There's hope!

Fortunately, M.I. Persona just needs the script translated. I just need to put in more time, and I will do exactly that. Once Persona is done, I will focus fully on HM2, even if I can't swap save states with the hacker.

I sometimes wonder, could they make a controller that you can plug into a real NES that's more like a SNES controller, with ABXY buttons and L/R triggers, that works with homebrew or hacked NES cartridges?
Or an emulator that allows for additional button input possibilities?

No two translators will create two identical scripts. Every translation will read a little differently. In fact, if I started everything over right now, I'm even sure that all the lines would sound a little different from the way they do in the current script, not just Ayase's.

Heartthrob Memorial 2 is the project I have lined up to focus on once I finish Persona. I'm hoping that the completion of Persona coincides with a big breakthrough for HM2 that's been on the horizon for a while! Fingers crossed!

The world needs more GBC fan translations. There's so much to love on that system. Unfortunately, talented GBC hackers are about as hard to come across as the immortal hamsters that the scientist in Hamster Paradise is trying to breed.
