“We need more physician-scientists to do clinical trials.” These words from Prof. Andrea B. Maier at @hevolution_f Global Lifespan Summit resonated deeply with me. As a physician-scientist (MD, PhD) specializing in clinical trials, I couldn’t agree more. Clinical trials are at the heart of advancing medicine, and physician-scientists bring a unique perspective. We understand both the science and the patient. We bring a unique advantage by integrating clinical insights with research expertise, ensuring that studies are patient-centered, clinically relevant, and translational. Now, more than ever, we need clinician-driven clinical trials to accelerate discoveries in healthcare. I’m ready to contribute, advocate, and collaborate in this mission.
