Officers stopped 28 drivers in 2 hours for excessive speed during our speed emphasis last week. Some drivers were clocked at 56-58 mph in a 35-mph zone. We will continue to educate drivers and remind them that speed kills. Another speed emphasis this week.

A 15-year-old Renton resident, considered armed and dangerous, is under arrest in connection with a drive-by shooting. Renton SWAT arrested the suspect, the alleged driver, Wednesday evening (11/16). He attempted to flee but realized he was surrounded and hid in a doghouse.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of retired K9 Odin. On April 27, 2024, Ofc Moynihan had to say goodbye to his loyal companion. Odin retired in February 2023 due to limited use of his left rear leg. Our thoughts are with his handler and family. Rest easy, K9 Odin.
