Angel showed up on my doorstep. Emaciated. Filthy. Terrified. Of all the best dogs I've had, she is the bestest. She's a German Shepherd/ Corgi mix.
@Happydog___
Angel spent the night on my porch the first night I lived there. She was filthy and emaciated.
Now she's healthy and beautiful and the sweetest happiest girl ever.
I'm traveling with 3 relatives that are serious OState people.
I respectfully left the room and left them to their grief.
My cousin's husband said - never forget - we won the last Bedlam.
I said - Kelly Maxwell and I respectfully disagree.
@LISAMW979
My husband once caved to his bratty adult daughter over where to have Thanksgiving. His mother said until he backed up his wife we weren't welcome at her house. Said she didn't raise him to treat his wife like a 2nd class citizen.
I adored my mother-in-law.
I told mom about OU baseball winning and Tiare's

. I said "it's a good day to be a Sooner. Mom said - I'm 91 and I don't remember a day that wasn't.
@OUontheAir
I've watched a lot of softball this weekend.
1. Sooners live rent free in most announcers' heads.
2. Softball has more parity than ever.
3. The University of Oklahoma Softball team can absolutely 4-peat.

Thank you.
A co-worker's wife once told me at a corporate Christmas party to stay the hell away from her husband. In front of the entire management staff and their wives. Then she threw her rum and coke in my face.
I just mopped my face and said I wouldn't have him gift
My beloved daddy is nearer to his heavenly home. He can no longer swallow, so no food, liquid or meds. He has a pain patch.
My mom is strong emotionally but is pretty fragile physically.
Our faith is strong and dad is singing hymns.
But this is so very hard.

We spent several months living with my folks while my dad was in hospice care. She got next to no exercise because she glued herself to my dad's side. And my mom gave her treats. She's slimmer since we came home after dad passed away.
Bob Stoops saying "I never wanted to give up on guys" speaks so much to the man that Sooner Nation loves. He had lots of criticism on occasion but he's That Man. People matter. I couldn't be prouder.

Bob Stoops heard about
@OgboOkoronkwo
’s game on Sunday while wearing a hospital bracelet from his son’s birth.
Coach Stoops loved it and told a great story of how Ogbo’s career at OU went from difficult to great.
@CoachBobStoops
My dad went home to heaven on
Fri, 22 April. His memorial will be Thur, 28 April, at the Assembly of God in Tish at 10 am. He loved God, his family, the US Navy & the Sooners. Fair Winds and Following Seas dad. We have the watch.
Thank you for everything. ❤ your baby girl.
Been wearing Sooner shirts in San Antonio all week. No comment from a soul.
Today I wore a Sooner Softball shirt. Got 2 Boomers and an aTm person who said "you guys are disgusting". I said thank you.
Mission accomplished.
Missed Ella Parker but thrilled out of my socks to meet Kasidi, Alynah and Alyssa.
They're all gorgeous. And they shine.
I fangirled like a ten year old. And I'm not sorry.
@shannonwoodward
My fiance's secretary sent me an invitation to his wedding reception after his surprise elopement. I was startled, to say the least, as I did not recall eloping.
[I sent the happy couple a 79 cent turkey baster. It was unacknowledged.]
@Telegraph
She hardly speaks for Americans. It is her unique American viewpoint. After allegedly studying international relations at a prestigious American university. My American Southern mother and grandmother taught me to respect other customs and views. Even other parts of America.
@ncaasoftballstf
When Jordy Bahl left OU for Nebraska to be nearer home, no one assumed she was getting paid.
Why would any athlete be slammed for wanting to be nearer home? She's a Kansas girl. Maybe she just doesn't like California.
@montrealrabbi
My mom gave dad some burnt toast. I told him I'd fix him some less toasted toast. He said: she's been feeding me more than 60 years. I eat what she puts in front of me. He pulled out his pocket knife, scraped some charcoal off the top, buttered it and ate every bite.
My dad's nursing care partner made his 90th birthday cake to surprise us.
He's pretty fuzzy but he totally engages with his Sooners.
Happy 90th birthday Andy!

Lol. She did get too fat. Mom could not resist giving her treats and I started keeping treats where dad could reach them when he was not mobile. But mostly she glued herself to dad. Home health carers got used to having her supervise every thing when they came. Best rescue ever.
@SketchesbyBoze
When I moved from Virginia to Oklahoma, i whittled my books down to 93 boxes. It was painful. But I halved the amount of square ft in my house, so halving my books seemed reasonable on paper.
But it was REALLY painful.

I had doubled over cramps. Cold sweat. Diarrhea. Lightheadedness. Flooding bleeding. Every month. For 40 years. Resilience ... please ... Any man alive with those symptoms would have been in the hospital. And researchers would have found a solution. Just because you aren't
In Oklahoma, we do softball right.

THROWBACK: Former Oklahoma Punter Michael Turk proposing to Grace Lyons, Sooner Softball National Champion Shortstop, following a Sooners win.
I'm confused. I don't know much about this game called football. But it's apparently true that OU opponents can be called for holding.
Can someone who is knowledgeable on these matters confirm?
@oldenoughtosay
I spent nearly 30 years in "computers": tech support, hardware, networking, web design, database design. And more.
My mom wants my sister, the nurse to set up her computer because once she fixed dad's screen saver when it was frozen.
I get it.
@kd_937
You're a Sooner, a Norseman and most importantly, a child of God. There are lots of people praying for you.

I felt like I was in one. I was too stunned to do anything else. It was the early 80s. Women in management were rare. I fought tooth and toenail to be on equal footing with those guys. Most of their wives were supportive. I was a former librarian and looked like it. Thick
@TylerSlocum25
My dad had dementia. But he thought every Sooner HR was his girl Shay. He often thought Jocy's bombs were Shay. And he remembered the 17-inning game. It was imprinted on him. As a Sooner fan I love her. But for the joy she gave my dear dad, I'll be forever grateful.

I understand.
My husband ordered gifts for me before he died. Including a one year subscription box. And left notes for me all through his belongings. Random stuff showed up for months in the house and the mail. I'll never not miss him.
@PAVGOD
I adopted her as a stray. I've had her 3 years. She was emaciated and had 3 kinds of worms. Today she's healthy and happy and the gentlest most loving rescue I've ever had in my many many years. She takes care of my 90 year old dad with dementia. Rarely leaves his side.
Dad's 90th birthday. His last birthday.
He loved his Sooners. And kept this book on the table next to his chair the rest of his life. Showed it to everyone.
Thanks for the memories
@TRowOU
Sooner friends: a dear friend of mine keeps her only child's gravestone with his beloved Sooner memorabilia. This was ALL stolen this weekend. Its marked with his name. Please notice if you see this stuff. Whoever has it should just put it back.

Multiple sports have championships in the same place annually. Because the infrastructure is there.

I've had restaurants that don't want to seat me when I'm alone. I expect slightly better treatment from the church. This is a prime example of "single people aren't important" that's pervasive in churches. It's not a battle I want to fight. At church or a restaurant. So I don't.

She just appeared. I was not involved in her breeding. I've had 3 corgis. My husband had cancer and said when he got well, he wanted a German Shepherd. He didn't get well. 2 months and 1500 miles after he died, Angel came to me. Now you know what I know.
Mom took me to
@RebasPlace
for my birthday. We shared a baked French toast and I had a blackberry mimosa.
We're driving up to McAlester to have birthday cake with my 96 year old aunt. Not a fancy birthday but I couldn't ask for better.
