For those who I've not met, I'm RT. I opened this second account because I feel like I made some errors with my first one.... and learned quite a bit. I've communicated with some new users here about some pointers on what to do and what not to do... very important to know what not to do as it could almost permanently alter your path forward in succeeding. Success on X requires strategy, consistency, and value-driven content. Here's a short list of how to thrive: Growth Tip: Focus on sharing actionable insights, personal stories, or engaging questions that resonate with your target audience. Use storytelling to connect on a deeper level. What to Avoid: Don’t spam hashtags or engage in negative debates—it can hurt your credibility and reach. Unknown Fact: Tweets with videos are 6x more likely to get retweeted than text-only posts. Leverage visuals to stand out in feeds. Best Practice: Post at peak engagement times (check your analytics) and experiment with threads—they often get higher impressions and shares. Quick Insight: Engage with other creators in your niche by replying to their tweets. Thoughtful comments can attract new followers to your profile. Stay consistent, track your analytics, and remember: it’s a marathon, not a sprint!

If you've noticed on the lists that there are two RedTusker accounts, this is my second from the one with the elephant. It's my backup account. I had some issues with my first one because of being suspended, throttled, and so on. I created this one to have a redundancy in place... I might start posting news summaries from this account again as I was earlier. If you take a look, at the amount of followers I have, you'll see that it's over 5K and that came from following lists. I'm sure you'll be there and beyond in no time.

NEWS SUMMARY: Chinese Spy Drone Found in Philippine Waters Raises National Security Concerns A suspected Chinese underwater spy drone was discovered by fishermen near the central Philippines, sparking concerns over national security in the region. The six-foot-long, torpedo-shaped drone, marked "HY-119," was recovered roughly six miles off the coast of Masbate province and turned over to authorities. Philippine police identified it as a Chinese underwater navigation and communication system, potentially used for monitoring and reconnaissance. While the drone was unarmed, the discovery adds to growing tensions between China and the Philippines over the South China Sea. China continues to assert control over nearly the entire sea, ignoring international rulings and the territorial claims of neighboring nations. In December, Chinese coast guard vessels used water cannons and aggressive tactics against a Philippine patrol vessel, drawing condemnation from the U.S., which accused Beijing of endangering lives. This latest incident raises serious questions about sovereignty in the Indo-Pacific and the security of America’s allies, as China continues its bold moves in contested waters.

NEWS SUMMARY: What We've Learned about the New Orleans Terrorist Attack New Orleans is reeling after a terrorist attack on Bourbon Street early Wednesday morning left 14 people dead and 35 injured. The suspect, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a 42-year-old U.S. Army veteran from Texas, carried out the attack alone, according to authorities. Jabbar, who was killed by New Orleans police at the scene, drove a rented truck onto a crowded sidewalk before opening fire. He had earlier placed two improvised explosive devices in the area, both of which were safely neutralized by law enforcement. FBI officials confirmed Jabbar had pledged allegiance to ISIS in videos posted online prior to the attack. In these videos, he described the attack as part of a "war between believers and disbelievers" and claimed to have joined ISIS last summer. Gov. Jeff Landry assured the public that New Orleans is secure, stating, "Right now, this is one of the safest places on earth," as heightened law enforcement remains in place. However, some, including Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill, questioned the decision to proceed with the Allstate Sugar Bowl so soon after the tragedy. Efforts are ongoing to support the victims and their families, with blood donations and financial contributions being encouraged by local organizations.

NEWS SUMMARY: Army Soldier Killed in Tesla Cybertruck Explosion Outside Trump Hotel A tragic explosion involving a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day claimed the life of Master Sgt. Matthew Alan Livelsberger, an active-duty U.S. Army special operations soldier. Authorities revealed the Cybertruck contained gasoline canisters, camp fuel canisters, and large firework mortars, which led to the fiery blast. Seven others were injured in the incident. The vehicle, rented in Colorado, was tracked to Las Vegas via Tesla charging stations. Law enforcement has labeled the explosion as an "isolated" incident, though investigations into potential links to terrorism are ongoing. The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force is working to determine whether this explosion is connected to a deadly truck attack in New Orleans that killed 15 and injured dozens just days earlier. Jeremy Schwartz, acting special agent in charge of the FBI in Las Vegas, stated that law enforcement agencies are collaborating to uncover the cause of the explosion and whether it was intentional.

NEWS SUMMARY: Capitol Incident Fugitive Seeks Refuge in Canada, Awaits Trump's Return Antony Vo, a 32-year-old Indiana resident convicted for his involvement in the January 6th Capitol protest, has fled to Canada seeking political asylum. Vo was sentenced to nine months in prison but evaded his June 2024 reporting date. In his asylum claim, Vo described the Capitol event as "a peaceful protest" that was "subverted as part of a domestic regime-change operation to politically assassinate Trump and his supporters." Vo hopes to remain in Canada until former President Trump, whom he believes will pardon him, returns to the White House. Trump has previously referred to January 6th participants as "patriots" and "political prisoners," signaling his willingness to consider pardons. Vo and his mother, a Vietnamese refugee, were photographed inside the Capitol during the event. His mother has also been charged and awaits trial. Comment, like, and repost! Source: The Guardian

NEWS SUMMARY: States Usher in 2025 with New Laws on Guns, Marijuana, and Social Media As 2025 begins, several states are implementing laws that will have a significant impact on key issues like guns, marijuana, and children's access to social media. Here's a breakdown of the most notable changes: Gun Laws: Minnesota has banned "binary triggers" and forced reset triggers, devices that allow firearms to shoot faster. This comes after a tragic incident involving such a device earlier this year. Conservatives may question whether such bans actually address crime or simply target law-abiding gun owners. In Delaware, possessing firearms on college campuses will now be a crime, joining states like California and New York in restricting Second Amendment rights in certain areas. Meanwhile, New York will force gun retailers to post warnings claiming that firearm ownership increases "the risk of suicide, domestic violence, and unintentional deaths." Critics argue this is another attempt to demonize lawful gun ownership. Marijuana: Medical marijuana is spreading, with Nebraska and Kentucky joining the ranks of 39 states allowing its use. However, conservative states like Florida and the Dakotas rejected measures to legalize recreational marijuana, signaling continued resistance to full legalization. In Texas, Dallas voters approved decriminalizing small amounts of cannabis, but Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton is fighting to overturn this local measure, keeping the Lone Star State firmly against drug normalization. Social Media Restrictions for Kids: Florida passed a law banning children under 14 from having social media accounts and requiring parental permission for those aged 14 and 15. While aimed at protecting children, the law is being challenged in court. Conservatives may applaud Florida for taking bold steps to safeguard children from Big Tech's harmful influences. Other Notable Changes: Ohio now requires students to use bathrooms matching their biological sex, a win for parents and conservatives pushing back against radical gender ideology. California, however, has banned schools from notifying parents if their child identifies as a different gender, further eroding parental rights. Minimum wages are increasing in 21 states, but critics argue these mandates could harm small businesses already struggling under inflation.

NEWS SUMMARY: Explosive Incident Outside Trump Hotel Involves Active-Duty Green Beret A Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day, killing the driver and injuring seven others. Authorities have identified the man who rented the truck as Matthew Alan Livelsberger, an active-duty Army Green Beret. Livelsberger was on leave from his post in Germany with the 10th Special Forces Group at the time of the explosion. The FBI and other agencies are investigating the incident as a potential act of terrorism, though no definitive link to larger organizations has been confirmed. The explosion was caused by fireworks, gas tanks, and camping fuel in the truck bed, detonated by a device controlled by the driver. Surveillance footage revealed the Cybertruck circling the Trump Hotel before stopping in front of it and detonating. Elon Musk, Tesla's CEO, provided vital data from Tesla’s systems to aid the investigation. Musk noted that the Cybertruck’s durable construction helped contain the blast, minimizing damage to surrounding areas, including the Trump Hotel. Authorities are probing potential connections to a similar attack in New Orleans on the same day, where a driver with a military background killed 14 people in a rented truck. Source: #NEWS

NEWS SUMMARY: U.S. Sanctions Iran and Russia Over Election Meddling The U.S. Treasury has imposed sanctions on entities in Iran and Russia, accusing them of meddling in the 2024 presidential election. According to the Treasury, a group linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and a Russian organization tied to military intelligence (GRU) attempted to "stoke socio-political tensions" and influence American voters. The Russian group reportedly used AI tools to spread disinformation, including deepfake videos targeting election candidates. One manipulated video contained "baseless accusations" against a vice-presidential candidate, though the specific candidate wasn't named. Treasury official Bradley Smith stated, "The United States will remain vigilant against adversaries who would undermine our democracy." Russia denied the accusations, claiming they are "malicious slander" intended for U.S. political infighting. Iran has not yet responded to the allegations. This action highlights growing concerns about foreign interference in U.S. elections, with reports indicating that AI-driven disinformation campaigns are increasingly being used by adversaries. Do you believe these sanctions will deter foreign interference, or is more action needed to protect our elections? Please comment and repost! Source: #NEWS

NEWS SUMMARY: Debrina Kawam, Subway Burning Victim, Sparks Outrage and Immigration Debate Debrina Kawam, a 57-year-old woman from Toms River, N.J., tragically became the victim of a horrific subway attack on December 22. Kawam was burned alive on a stationary train at Brooklyn's Coney Island station in a random act of violence by Sebastian Zapeta-Calil, a 33-year-old undocumented immigrant from Guatemala who had been deported in 2018 but illegally re-entered the U.S. The terrifying attack, captured on video, showed Zapeta-Calil setting Kawam on fire and fanning the flames instead of helping her. Hours later, he was arrested after vigilant citizens recognized him from police-released photos. Zapeta-Calil now faces charges of first-degree murder and arson. Kawam, who had struggled with homelessness, was identified through fingerprint analysis. Mayor Eric Adams expressed grief over her death, stating, "No matter where she lived, that should not have happened." This case has reignited fierce debates over sanctuary city laws, as New York's policies prevented local authorities from cooperating with federal immigration officials despite Zapeta-Calil's illegal status and criminal history. Critics argue these policies prioritize protecting undocumented individuals over the safety of law-abiding citizens. How many more innocent lives must be lost before sanctuary policies are reconsidered? Please comment and repost! Source: #NewsUpdate

NEWS SUMMARY: Elon Musk’s Efficiency Agenda Gains Surprising Support from Democrats Elon Musk, now co-leading President Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency, is making waves in Washington as some Democrats express support for parts of his controversial agenda to cut $2 trillion from the federal budget. Musk’s proposals include closing agencies and reducing civil servant numbers, earning praise from unexpected corners. Congressman Ro Khanna (D-CA) stated he’s willing to work with Musk to "rein in wasteful spending at the Pentagon." Senator Bernie Sanders surprisingly agreed, saying Musk was “right” to target defense spending. However, Democrats have drawn lines in the sand. Khanna vowed to oppose cuts to the EPA, Medicare, Social Security, and veterans’ benefits, questioning whether Musk’s numbers “really add up.” Musk’s alignment with Trump and right-wing causes continues to alienate much of the left, but his efficiency push is gaining traction with some who see opportunities to cut red tape and curb bloated government programs. What do you think of Musk’s cost-cutting plans? Do they go far enough, or are there better ways to curb government waste? Please comment and repost! Source: #NEWS
