8 valves are open on the spillway at #Shasta Dam sending 30,000 cfs down the face of the dam & 15,000 cfs through the power plant for a total of 45,000 cfs being released into the #Sacramento river. That number will be increased to a total of 60,000 cfs later tonight.

Reclamation continues flood control operations at Shasta Reservoir. Dam releases into the Sacramento River will bump up to 60,000 cfs by Friday evening. More info ➡️

Releases out of Keswick Dam into the Sacramento River are increasing from 7,500 to 20,000 cfs tomorrow, 2/6, and then to ~40,000 cfs on Friday, 2/7. Elevated releases are due to recent storms & resulting inflows into #Shasta Reservoir. Heed caution along the river. #CaWater

Releases out of #Keswick Dam, #Shasta's regulating facility, will be increasing into the #SacramentoRiver from 7,500 to ~20,000 cfs on Thursday, 2/6. Further increased releases are anticipated as inflows into the reservoirs and river conditions unfold. Stay tuned. #CaWater
