@SwissWatchGuy
It just boggles my mind that DeSantis is everything we want as a President, but the base is so damn enthralled by a charlatan who doesn’t mean anything he says.
@KurtSchlichter
@RonDeSantis
The problem is Kurt, the gop voters aren't the majority of voters in this country. If Trump's nominated, he will lose. Democrats and moderates will crawl over broken glass to vote aginst him.
For me, results mean more than drama and that's why I support DeSantis in the primary.
@KHerriage
Thank you for the information. I totally agree 100% The Iowa caucus will be the first true test to see how much support Trump really has.
I voted and supported him in 2016 & 2020, but can’t any longer.
@OliviaFLNative
I’m just like you. I voted in the last five presidential elections and Ron DeSantis is the first Republican I look forward to voting for. He is truly the right choice for America.
#DeSantis2024
@Tamzilla_52
I’m so sorry to hear about your son. Accountability for what happened during Covid is what we want. Accountability for the vaccines. Accountability for the school shut downs and learning loss.
Under Trump, Biden, and Haley we won’t get that. Under DeSantis, we will.
#DeSantis24
@MarinaMedvin
@TheEliKlein
@RepCori
On behalf of Missouri, I’d like to apologize for Rep. Cori Bush. Her and the squad truly care nothing for the people of Israel and probably don’t even play close attention to the conflict.
@ChristinaPushaw
@RonDeSantis
@CaseyDeSantis
This is why, millions of former Trump voters won’t vote for him again. They got nothing of substance on Governor DeSantis, so they resort to vile and disgusting attack on Casey, Governor DeSantis, their children, and others.
@justin_hart
A total defeat by Trump and MAGA is necessary for the Conservative movement in the long run.
Any narrow defeat will cause MAGA to double and triple down on saying it’s rigged and backing another Trump run, a run by someone in the Trump family, or by someone in MAGAworld.
@Sea_Glass1115
@bobvanderplaats
@GovRonDeSantis
Trumpers will say the Iowa caucus doesn’t or that was rigged but DeSantis worked his butt off to win.
Iowa is just the first step in this journey to renew America.
This is reason 10,500,075, why I and millions of others will never support Trump again. The fact that you would even call a woman that word or surround yourself with people that would, shows what kind of person you are.
@davereaboi
The America First movement has devolved into a cult of personality where Donald Trump can do no wrong. It is shameful that I and millions of Americans who supported him in ‘16 & ‘20 were taken for fools.
@scarlett4kids
@bennyjohnson
Unfortunately, the GOP has turned into a place where you either support Trump 100% or you are a “RINO.” I support DeSantis for President because I think he’s the best person for the job.
@wavechaser2024
Exactly. We can’t afford to lose next year, and Trump is not going to win. His antics are causing former supporters like me to walk away and support governor DeSantis.
I have been a good Republican since I was young and always voted the party’s candidates because they were supposedly better than the Democrats, but I can’t anymore.
Trump isn’t better than the Democrats and I won’t vote for him again. If that makes me a RINO, then so be it.
@JillSAnthony
So True…To many in Con Inc, a loss is more profitable than winning since they can keep on complaining about how bad liberals and Dems are.
Once Trump loses, they will try to blame DeSantis supporters, but the loss will be on them. They ignored Trump’s flaws and DeSantis’s wins.
@_Mama_Mia10
Or the Midwest. We just want to live and work in peace and don’t have time for your cosmopolitan tales of how everything would be all fine and dandy if we were just like you.
@OregonWolfman
The sad thing is, they probably prefer losing over winning. If they lose, they can say it’s rigged, and continue fundraising their grift.
@DefiantBaptist
According to Trump, he already has all the votes he needs. Then again, attacking a candidate’s wife is probably not the best way to go, but what do I know.
@JoshPower80
If Trump’s the nominee, there really won’t be a real 2024 election with rallies and debates. Biden will be hiding in the White House letting the media do his campaigning and Trump will be in court and/or in jail or house arrest.
@SwissWatchGuy
TPUSA was supposed to bring the people to conservatism and the GOP but instead they are driving them away while lining their own pockets with donors money.
@theodictator
@SultanSantis
It’s Trump and only Trump. They don’t care if he doesn’t win, because they will just say it’s rigged and start laying the groundwork for Trump 2028.
The hell it is. Listen Rich, Why is Trump and your team so afraid of facing the voters? Maybe, it’s because you’ll lose.
The primary isn’t over because it hasn’t even started. The voters haven’t voted. Quit trying to hide behind fake “polls” and maybe start trying to earn votes.
@DreaMGriff28
Hell Yeah, Sister!!! The GOP are a bunch of spineless cowards who don’t follow through on what they believe or say. All they do is maintain fake outrage to fundraise and manipulate the voters into voting them into office.
@Floridagirl0850
@FoxNews
Everybody at Fox knows deep down that if Trump were the nominee, he will lose the election. They don’t say it because their audience is generally older Trump supporters and they need them to watch the channel.
@nexusothecrisis
@GOP
@GOPChairwoman
I honestly believe that they don’t care anymore about winning. Most of the GOP are content to just complain about Democrats, fundraise, make tik tok videos and X posts.
@skydiveicarus
This situation is just shameful and the fact people are defending the actions of these terrorists is disgusting. You can take issue with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but to defend the murder and savagery of innocent men, women, and children. Hamas will get what they deserve.
I am deeply pleased by this CNN Townhall. DeSantis proves himself over and over that he’s the best man to be the President. I am glad to support him now and in the future.
#DeSantis2024
@SultanSantis
I support DeSantis, because he’s the right guy at the right time to make this country better. He will be forced on getting the job done without the additional drama of picking petty fights.
#DeSantis2024
@HeartlessBojac
I’m with you. The Trump accusation sent me over the edge and now with Trump using leftist racial rhetoric against DeSantis. It’s just unforgivable. If Trump’s the nominee, I will not vote for him nor support him.
To those who say we should bend the knee and unite with Trump after one caucus, why? We will still lose in November anyway.
How about we all unite around DeSantis and win. I think that may be a better choice.
#DeSantis2024
@KHerriage
I bet there’s a lot of us out there who aren’t on Twitter/X who feel the same way, but don’t want to get attacked by the hardcore MAGA base.
I live in Missouri, but have visited Florida many times and DeSantis has done a terrific job. He will definitely Make America Great Again.
@Culture_Fight76
@ljnarnia
@RonDeSantis
It’s a great take on what happened. To me, the main things:
1. The gop base is so attached to Trump, there’s nothing DeSantis could have done to break that.
2. The GOP has no core principles and don’t know what they stand for. The GOP has 3 wings: MAGA, Moderates, Conservatives
@SwissWatchGuy
This is another reason why I won’t ever vote for him. Trump believes that the Presidency is simply not restrained by the Constitution. That its essentially an elected dictatorship. This is the antithesis of what our founders believed.
I do admit that tonight wasn’t what I expected nor hoped for as a DeSantis supporter. I’m not down nor depressed, because this is only the first battle in a long war.
I’m with DeSantis until the end and I will vote for him as a write in or if I can’t then RFK Jr.
#withDeSantis
@KeepOhioRed22
I think there’s a lot people like this, including myself. It’s unfortunate this message has to be sent, but Trump and MAGA need to be put in the ash heap of history once and for all.
@MelissablasekNH
The base just wants to be entertained and wants someone who can “own the libs.”
Successfully enacting good Conservative policy no longer matters to the voters even though those policies will benefit them in the long run .
@RenoCiccotta
@bigredmatt1011
If that’s the case, they are taking a great risk with likely Democratic control of Congress. There won’t be much of a country by 2026 or 2028.
@DanaLoeschRadio
@DLoesch
Republicans want to lose. The establishment doesn’t care anymore and is fine with Trump losing next year. That’s why the RNC, Con Inc, media, and establishment politicians are forcing us to have Trump as the nominee.
Boy, Fox sure did cut really fast from DeSantis talking to Laura Ingram talking about Trump. It’s almost as if they don’t want the public to get to know DeSantis, his policies, and what he did in Florida. 🤔🤔
@VinceinArizona
This what happens when you drink the Kool-Aid too long. They view him as infallible, a Jesus reincarnate and any fault with him is just made up by his enemies in the “establishment.”
I had no problem with 2016 MAGA, but 2024 MAGA is just plain sad.
@TudorDixon
TPUSA and Trumpland are nothing more than a political grifting organization who are bleeding the GOP dry of money and voters especially from young people.
@SteveDeaceShow
@davereaboi
Steve, you are 100% correct. The Democrats want Trump to be the nominee, because he’s the only candidate they know Biden would beat.
@ConservativaPol
DeSantis proved he’s not only capable of being President but also what this country truly needs in a leader. Unfortunately, the media and “establishment” figures will double and triple down on trying to make Trump the nominee.
@RenoCiccotta
@DominFla
If Trump‘s the nominee, next year‘s election will be a disaster for the GOP. A stand has to be made against Trump and Trumpism.
@bigredmatt1011
“Conservative” media has sold out their principles to become propaganda for the opposition. They have nothing on DeSantis so they criticize his height, what shoes he wears, how he is around people, and now how he eats food.
They want Trump to win even if it means defeat in ‘24.
@grossi_j65671
@KimReynoldsIA
@RonDeSantis
@NEWSMAX
Fox News and most of the conservative media are in the tank for Trump. They think if Trump loses, they won’t be able to make tons of money off the continuous drama that follows Trump.
@SteveDeaceShow
Basically, Trump will say whatever is popular at the time to get him the most votes/supporters then after that’s run it’s course, he will change his minds.
@bdomenech
You are correct. If he didn’t care, he wouldn’t have put out that video attacking Governor Reynolds and the statement attacking Bob Vander Plaats.
@richardgalaxia
Sorry to the author, but Trump won’t be getting anywhere near the Presidency. The question has to be asked, but do you really want another 4 years of Biden/Harris Administration? Because that’s what you’re going to get with Trump as the nominee m.
@EllyKayUSA
Amen. After that attack on Kayleigh, I don’t know how anyone can still defend him or work for him. She took the arrows and knives for him and this is how he repays her. Shameful.
@blondina_winter
I swear the GOP needs to grow a damn backbone when it comes dealing with Trump. Even though he told to F off, he’s still groveling at his feet by pushing a Trump/Haley ticket.
@BonkDaCarnivore
@DavidLimbaugh
Yes, Yes, Yes! For too long, we’ve held our noses and voted Republican, because they were supposedly better, but they weren’t.
DeSantis is absolutely better than Joe Biden and any Democrat. He will change this country for the better.
#DeSantis2024
@thefactualprep
Elections do have consequences and that’s why we can’t have Trump as the nominee. He will lose and I don’t want to be forced to deal with a radical agenda led by President Biden, Speaker Hakeem Jeffries, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer because that’s what you’ll get.
I think looking back, this debate tonight will be the turning point in this election. DeSantis is proving to the country he has what it takes to lead it.
#DeSantisForPresident
@KaladinFree
I’m in the same boat. I supported Trump in 2016 and 2020, but I can’t support any longer after everything he’s done and is currently doing. If Trump’s the nominee, he will lose. I will definitely vote down ballot for Republicans, but I can’t vote for Trump.
After watching all the debates and townhalls, it just blows my mind how people think that either Trump or Haley are better than DeSantis. DeSantis is clearly in a league of his own.
@AutonomousAllie
It's almost out of jealousy. They can't accept that someone can have a better family life and be better at governing than Donald Trump.
